Been watching this in pieces throughout the day at the moto shop in Monument. Awesome riding, your videos always get me ready for the next Penrose Commons and Independence Lap day (happens to be this Sunday probably 10am). I'm running every morning and trying to watch what I eat and shooting for 3-4 laps this Sunday.

I would really love to know how many clicks out he was on the SC2 in this race. Nice job Cody, keep it roll'in brother!

We went to the D-F09 which is one step richer than the standard D-F11 metering rod used in stock Sherco 250/300s due to the use of an S3 high comp head and Cali pump fuel (both factors nudging us in the richer direction). It was set to 85 clicks out from full rich for the weekend.
@marcusm.34868 ай бұрын
@@SmartCarbFuelSystems Great, thanks for the info! I was assuming it was the D-F11 and medium compression head considering the altitudes there aren't too crazy. That's what I get for assuming lol.
@SmartCarbFuelSystems8 ай бұрын
@@marcusm.3486 only they can say for sure but we think they liked what they were feeling using the higher comp heads for EX and decided to stick with them. S3's heads aren't quite as thirsty on their own compared to, say, an RK Tek head but the Cali pump fuel and the wide open sections/sand informed the decision to go to the 09.

@@SmartCarbFuelSystems sounded very rich on the bottom. Is that intentional?
@SmartCarbFuelSystems8 ай бұрын
@@clear737 we ran a step richer than typical metering rod due to the use of a high comp head and California pump fuel but from where we were standing the bike sounded great. Very strong bottom through mid and Cody took the holeshots both days with that setup. Sound doesn't always translate so well in these videos.

How on Earth do you know where to go to stay accurately on course?
@Kromer4g638 ай бұрын
Not super easy when breaking first tracks, why he got off few times first lap. But the gps's have built in tracks to follow. One usually zoomed in close and one zoomed out farther so can see farther ahead.

Think alot run one zoomed way in then other zoomed way out just to make navigation easier. Also have a back up if one goes down.
