I have this bike but a 2019 with almost 200 hours on it. I’ve absolutely loved every second of it. I ride in Southern Utah in the winter and mountains/high desert in the summer. Killer bike.

3:50 I moved the OEM switch to the left and added a common dirtbike start button ($15) connected with a Y to the original switch harness. That way i have two start buttons, the original on the left and the new one on the right. Cheap solution.

To me the most important feature on your 250f is the 6 speed transmission. 1 of the reasons I sold my 2013 crf250r was the 5 speed transmission sucked off road. It was 1 of my funnest motocross bikes. In my opinion all 250fs should have a 6 speed.

I owned a similar FE 250. I really liked it, especially for more open, fast and flowing terrain. The 115 mile range on the stock tank made it the choice for long exploration rides. I found it exhausting in the gnar. It required far more clutch work. The lack of low end torque ( vs a 300), stalling, and hard starting when hot were the biggest drawbacks. I am looking forward to your observations. I just rode my 500 XCF-W 230 miles over the Whipsaw and surrounding country. There is a place for both 2T and 4T bikes. You are fortunate to have both.

So far minimal stalling and it starts up very quickly.

It’s interesting to me that people in america seem to choose the XC version before the XCW in most cases. Here in europe the XC’s are pretty rare and the enduro bike is called EXC or EXC-f. When I tried the XC/XC-f version I find it almost to snappy for enduro riding. I believe the EXC’s is powerful enough for both flowy and technical riding and should suit most riders actually.

XCF-W here, not as popular or as many available. I did not want a PDS bike because they sit taller than linkage bikes.

Flip your handle bar top clamp 180 degrees and it won't cut into your throttle cables. I don't know why they don't put them on that way.

You can email them with what bike and type of riding you do and they will suggest a specific model. I know they've been sold out for a while now, I'm told they will have stock again soon.

You're about the same height as me how do you ride these KTMs with the high seats? I know you shaved the seat but how much does that get you? I could barely touch the ground with one toe when I was at the ktm and husky dealer sitting on these things lol... Also I see a new Tacoma in the driveway how you liken that?
@PNWEnduro3 ай бұрын
You can shave off 3/4-1" easily on the seats, that makes a big difference. Also, they tend to sit high at the dealer, sag has not been set and I feel like the shocks settle in a bit as well. The new Tacoma has been great other than having to replace the cheap stock tires, blew one out on a long FSR drive.
