Exterior is absolutely gorgeous, V6 and RWD is nice to have, but other than that I just don't think the IS is worth it. The interior I still think is nice, but very dated. This car is not worth more than $45K IMO and that's coming from a 2015 lexus IS350 F sport owner myself. Why not wait until the generation IS model?
@CarMarketGuy8 күн бұрын
@@NOFATCHICK1 u mean the new gen? I think they gonna be hybrids which I am not a fan of
@NOFATCHICK18 күн бұрын
@@CarMarketGuy Yes the next generation IS. It'll most likely be a hybrid model you are correct but they may and hopefully offer a more powerful model besides the hybrid. You say you don't want a hybrid now, but after a few years of owning it and the terrible fuel economy you might change your mind like myself. Don't get me wrong the power is nice and the engine sound is great, but I just don't push the car anymore from when I first got it.

@@NOFATCHICK1 I get it. It depends what you use the car for. We already have a fuel efficient family car which my wife drives (2024 corolla) I was not after a fuel efficient vehicle for my daily :)

Agreed. This looks killer, but it’s outdated AF. interior is basically the same as my 2014, same engine, the 6spd is a slush bucket. Bullet proof but not sporty or aggressive at all. Sluggish and not very responsive. Waaaaaay over priced. Same engine and trans since 2006, come on Lexus.
@NOFATCHICK14 күн бұрын
@@TroungTran-g7v to be fair you got the AWD variant the 8 speed is better not great by any means but definitely better and RWD has great handling nonetheless I agree it is a dated car.

Definitely not a Camry comparison. It's a stand-alone Lexus sports sedan.

The LS absolutely is not based on anything Toyota makes. The LS is what launched the Lexus brand and is considered one of the finest vehicles ever produced by any car manufacturer. Original design with what’s considered the best V8 ever produced. The new models however have a newly designed twin turbo V6. Only the ES shared a platform with the Avalon but even the ES is much more refined and the engine tuned differently than the Avalon was. The IS and the now defunct GS as well as the RC and LC are all exclusively designed for the Lexus brand. Anyhow, congrats you’ve bought one of the most reliable engines ever made with the naturally aspirated V6 in the IS. Enjoy it as this is the last gen before govt are forcing manufacturers to switch to turbo engines that have yet to prove how reliable and dependable they are. This car will never ever give you any problems as long as you keep up with basic maintenance and is fun to drive not to mention the look. Congrats and enjoy many many years of worry free driving.

I just got my ‘24 IS350 AWD with the blackout package maxed out trim and I absolutely love it. I actually prefer the 6-speed, coming from an 8-speed I felt that it liked to search for gears. A lot of people knock the 6 because it’s old, but I love it. Great vid!

Lmao you over paid for out dated car. That’s funny. My 2014 is identical except for looks, and the 2006 is basically identical, besides looks. Lol. Only suckers still buy this car, Lexus is my favorite but this ain’t it.

That sounds awesome. People who say "so and so is dated" are just keyboard warriors who have not driven a Lexus. I did not test the 6 speed as there are no AWD here in Texas I wonder how the shifting is doing for you?

@@CarMarketGuy no, people who know what they’re talking about say it’s dated. Lol. The exterior looks unreal. But that’s about it. Like it said it barely looks different than a ‘14. And it still has the same engine and transmission as ‘06, so how is that not dated? Were you even into this car ten years ago, when 3is first came out? Because I owned it….

Thank you for sharing, love the car but I do have questions.. Does it have the turning headlights when you turn like the Avalon? Does it have remote start? Without being in the car.. What do you think about the engine sound adjustment system? Besides that, I seriously hope to get this beautiful car.. I’m looking into the Avalon model and the is350.. Thank you!!
@CarMarketGuy13 күн бұрын
Hey thanks for watching, let me answer those: 1- No the IS doesn't have this feature 2- Yes, with the Lexus app, I believe you get 3 years of it (its a subscription) 3- I think the sound control is great. You can crank it when having fun and turn it off when you have family (wife appreciates when its off) I do like how it sounds. It depends on your purpose with the car. If you have a big family or kids in their teens I would go with the Avalon, the backseat of the IS may not be comfortable for cruising around with ppl in there.

Sounds crazy but I didn't get this car because the cd player still inside it and it just wasn't quite as nice inside for me and as fast and less mpg as the audi s3 8y but I really love the lexus steering wheel and exterior look.

How is the non Mark Levison audio system? Is the bass lacking. Im planning to get an IS but having a very hard time finding one that comes with it. Also is the handling package worth the upgrade? I personally like the regular wheels over the BBS.
@CarMarketGuy15 күн бұрын
I would not call it lacking but its certainly not great. What region are you looking in? Here in Texas there are many with the Mark Lev. The BBS wheels come with the blackout package. Personally like the handling package the suspension gets a lot more responsive when you are in Sport +

@@CarMarketGuy after getting your car, any things you don't like? I know Toyota/Lexus doesn't have walk away auto door locks. You have to push the lock button on the key fob or you have to tap the door handle. My wife new BZ4X is like that. Sometimes I would forget to lock the door. My Honda Accord auto locks the doors when I walk away. Any nit pick gripes you have would be really insightful. Thanks again

@@MistaBrown420 yes that’s why I removed that useless thing before I drove off from the dealership. So much happier. Saw other cars on the road with that film and had a black outline especially if your car is white in colour (my car is white). If it’s black then different story.

Caviar is a beautiful color once paint corrected and ceramic coated. The silver metal flake really pop in the sun. I was looking at IS500 a few years back and the color choice was Infrared Red, USB M2.0 and Caviar. Unfortunately I need a sedan that can seat 4 passenger comfortably so I end up with the GS. I still like the IS tho, and they are everywhere in my area of TX.
@CarMarketGuy14 күн бұрын
I understand, back seats are really not comfortable, maybe for the odd trip here and there but definitely not meant to have people there. How you liking the GS?
@truonghthe13 күн бұрын
@@CarMarketGuy I been love the GS, the interior is a next step up from the IS500. Interior is filled with leathers, Alcantara, 3 position passenger memory seat, power folding mirror and HUD. I got the GSF btw. The only thing annoy me is that mouse joystick control the infotament. Lacks of apple car play in the GSF (I fixed with Lexus approved module). The IS has touch screen and track pad which is a better option when come to control the infotament. I love the BBS option wheel you had on the IS. If i ever buying an IS it must has that wheel on. BTW the ES is based on Avalon platform not Camry (post 2014) There is no LS/IS equivalent in Toyota side.
