Why oh why don't Filipinos buy more Mazdas? 😪 Now that they are positioning themselves as a premium brand, more people will be alienated by the prices. I wonder how buyers of Mazda’s SUVs and crossovers get excited over the brand when the basic look (especially the front fascia) has not really changed for the last twelve years or so. To each his own, sure, but I just don’t get the enthusiasm for it.
@jvenmakilan5187Ай бұрын
As a Harley guy, at least it maintains that brand identity. Similar to BMWs and their double eye headlights, Audi's unique take on DRLs, etc. Some models nowadays you can remove the maker's badge and slap someone else's and it wouldn't be out of place in that other maker's lineup. If that trend continues, those cars will be "just like any other car, only slightly different", but there will be comfort in knowing that "they belong"
@alvinolmedo6376Ай бұрын
I get what you’re saying and you have a point. But for premium brands that you mentioned, I guess it’s kind of different because the thrill for those is the luxury connotation. That you are basically above the dime-a-dozen variety of vehicles. But for the majority of car owners like me , buying a brand new vehicle that looks kind of ten years old because of the design, It just deducts from the excitement level in buying.

The Kia Telluride as far as I know is a hit in North America. And how about the latest Hyundai Santa Fe? Heck even the crappy Chinese cars (ok suspect quality at best) look good like those of BYD, GEELY and GAC (but I’ll never be caught buying them with my hard earned money. We are just talking design here.) I understand the philosophy of Mazda’s design and all that . I’m just saying they look tired and unexciting especially having seen their basic front appearance for many many years.
