Honest Truth About What It's Like To Own And Live With A 2024 Mazda CX-90!

I picked up my CX90 Turbo S Premium Plus in Sep. 2023. There were a number of issues that needed to be addressed and if you own a CX90 you know what they were. About two months ago I received a notification that updates for the CX90 were available. The updates took about two hours to complete. When I got my vehicle back I drove it for about a half an hour & I must say it felt like it was a totally different vehicle. The acceleration and transmission had a marked improvement. So if you have not got the updates done, you need to get it done ASAP. You will be glad you did.

I just bought me a 24 model year CX-90 and I love it. I got the Premium trim level because I wanted the upgraded sound system. To say the least, I love my car. The technology is supreme and the attention to detail that Mazda took is awesome. It is just a well-made vehicle assembled in Japan. The one thing I recommend to anyone considering buying this vehicle is to invest in a nice paint protection film or at the very least a ceramic coating to protect your paint. I tend to drive a lot of highway miles and those bugs hitting your front bumper can mess up your paint.

The highlight of my week is when my wife is home on the weekends and lets me drive her brand new 2025 Mazda cx90 Turbo S premium. Even driving it in a sedate manner up and down all these steep hills it's such a joy. My only complaint is that there's no remote start on the key fob and that you have to use a smartphone to start your car remotely. Wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't a subscription service that is complementary for the first year. But then Paola after that.

Dream car! I’ve crossed shop this with a few others like the X5, X4, MDX, XT5, and Q7. I don’t know which one I’ll go with but I really do like the CX90. The only thing I’m worried about is maintenance costs as I’ve heard they can get really expensive if you don’t treat the car right.

I think the Preferred trim is great with the inline 6, but if you really want the highest luxury I'd go with the Turbo S.

Try changing the battery in the fob. They can go prematurely bad. I think it can be caused by being in your pocket and you sit so as to push a button. The reason the ignition works is there is a low power battery in the fob, all fobs work this way. Anyway the door will also be more reactive with a fresh battery.

Facts first year vehicles always come with some issues, and this was the first vehicle Mazda offered with this inline 6 and powertrain setup so pretty much everything about it is new, all that being said though you're right it definitely is s great family vehicle! #Weoutside

Transmission programming was updated by Mazda - done free at any dealer. Make sure you have all the updates before you throw the transmission under the bus

For the trunk issue, you might want to take that in for a repair. That doesn't look normal. Should be covered under warranty

Came for the CX 90 review because I just got the sister vehicle, the CX70 in the PHEV variant. Almost bought the 90 because I also have a small family and the third row was appealing. Ironically, I work for @TheRagCompany... and we happen to do a lot of videos on vehicle detailing, my 70 will be on the channel within the next month or so. Got it in the Soul Red keep an eye out for it.

Even though I'm single, the CX-90 gives you value for the price! One issue to note, as mentioned to me from a 30 year body shop pro, the paint is very thin on the Mazda CX-90. Instead, I purchased a Lexus LC500 coupe, for my single lifestyle.

I’m in a 24 PP now. The trans is a bit quirky. It’s got an 11/23 build date so idk if it’s got the updates yet. Supposedly Mazda paused production so build dates after march 24 should be issue free.

I have a Lexus NX300. My Wife needs a Daily Driver that can fit our two kids in the rear seat with carseats and 2 other people. We don't intend to pack it in all the time. Price point it seems very enticing as mid 40's is what we got her Lexus for. I'm just curious regarding the reliability. And I'm guessing you can't really fit a stroller in there unless you fold the back two seats? (Which i most likely will do) Should I just wait for the 2025 model? Or that won't really be addressed

I think it's good to go reliability wise once you take it in to get the recalls fixed for the first model year, or you can wait for the 2025 model year, I feel like if you get a 24 model year now it should be all fixed. As far as the stroller we have been able to fit a stroller into the trunk with the third row up so it can work that way.
