One simple mod to get more induction note into the cabin is to modify the sound tube, a device Mazda uses to channel induction noise into the cabin. If you look at some tutorials, you’ll see that it’s quite effective.

Nice review! I have a 2022 Miata, in GT mode. I didn’t think the upgrade package was worth the extra expense. The standard seats are excellent, and keep in mind that the Brembo brakes are on front only. It’s not a 4 calliper system. Standard brakes on rear wheels.

Nice road to drive on. So hard to find anything like that by me. Also the leaves falling constantly make the turns even trickier here in the Midwest. Also its heavier than 2200 pounds. 2365 I think was the weight I saw but have not taken my 2024 Club with the sport package to a scale drive on scale yet. Got it in the snowflake white metallic instead. At 5'10" the view thru the windshield is perfect.

Be sure to check out the sound tube modification, kinda gives a ITB/VTEC sound for very little cost.
@dietrichwagner8 күн бұрын
The sound tube in ND3 is little bit different from previous models, new tubes etc. so I don’t think the sound tube kits people sell (Dave does it) will fit ND3 plug and play.

@@dietrichwagner from what I’ve read the sound tube is different but the diameter of each end remains the same, in theory the kits being sold should fit. I’ll know in the next few weeks on mine.

Great review. Do you wish you would've gotten the RF model or are you perfectly happy with the soft top? I too am excited to see the British Racing Green version. My two biggest complaints about the Miata is, even with advancements with CAD programs, interior space is way too cramped for me, at 6 feet tall. Sitting in the passenger seat is impossible. Mazda has to fix this in their next iteration but they must *NOT* make the car any bigger or heavier. Also, I hate the infotainment screen plopped on top of the dash. It's always in your face and you cannot ignore it. It's like scratching on a chalkboard. Mazda must integrate the infotainment screen into the dash. For instance, the infotainment screen in the instrument cluster on the Audi TT is perfect. Mazda must use the TT for inspiration. The Miata has always been about refinement. No excuses Mazda. Honda and Toyota has fallen off the turnip truck. Whistles and bells and chimes and beeps everywhere, like a video game arcade. It's awful. Mazda is the only premium, no compromise Japanese car in the world right now. Keep it simple. Refine. Refine. Refine. How do you improve a spoon?
@kgm5330Күн бұрын
I’m 6’1”. The first couple times sitting in an ND2, I thought it seemed almost too cramped, in either the soft top or RF, especially having owned an NC1 and NC2. In 2020 I purchased an ND2 GT RF after a few track drives because there were some aftermarket seat brackets that work well. Before even breaking in the car, however, I fully adjusted to the car. I can get completely comfortable for even long drives. There’s even room for a helmet, no problem. The cabin holds you in place much better for spirited driving. The NC models now feel too spacious, and I have to use my legs more to hold myself in place in stock seats, unlike the ND models. I never swapped out the brackets. I’m guessing at 6’+ proportions come into play, but I think most people under 6’2” will find that an ND can work just fine with a little time behind the wheel without swapping out the seat brackets. But on a test drive this might not be obvious.

35th anniversary color will be Artisan red and will probably end up replacing SoulRed Metallic. They are very similar, but SRM looks better IMOH. If Sould red disappear it will be worth holding on to.
