2024 Mitsubishi Triton launch in PH: First drive of the PH-spec Triton | Top Gear Philippines

After all the teasers, exclusive test drives, and preview events, here it is: The all-new 2024 Mitsubishi Triton has officially been launched in the Philippine market. The successor to the Strada is a highly anticipated contender in the local truck wars, and is expected to help strengthen Mitsubishi’s position in the segment after struggling against newer offerings in the past couple of years.

It's a good thing that the Triton has a mechanical parking lever. The electronic parking brake switch is useless. It's very expensive to replace the parking brake motor/actuator.

My father friend SUV Toyota Fortuner electric tail gate it's already an issue, and had to replace yesterday about 80K amount replacement for both tail. I can't imagine a broken electronic hand brake

Mechanical parking brake has very simple mechanism.

Always glad when Anton does the videos for TGPH apart from Niky, always spot on with almost everything he notices with a vehicle. Some corrections tho, the ADAS and Multi-Around Monitor(360° camera) is also equipped for the GLS 2WD, minus the LDW for the ADAS systems. Also for those pointing out for the lack of rear aircon vents and HDC, the unit shown here isn't the final Athlete spec for PH. The PH model Athlete will come with those altho these Athlete units will come on a much later date.

The Yamabuki Orange color plus the piano black accents really suits this generation of Triton's looks, the color matched grill looks better than the black one, I think the problem with this Triton's design is the lower skid plate part, the lower models are color matched, it looks weird, but the Athlete variant suits it the best.

I see plenty of old Rangers on the road too, people crying about the dominance of the current Ranger mentioning reliability only do so with anecdotal stories & biases. The T6 Ranger is a solid, reliable platform.

@miemban5721 I think because tech and safety features all came straight from the current navarra due to nissan-mitsubishi alliance. The pro4x or vL has the same tech combination except the adaptive. Even the the intrument cluster and the infotainment came straight from navarra which is a good thing since mas better naman talaga sa nissan compared sa tech ni mitsu pertaining to the touch screen and instrument cluster.
