Wished this was a comparison on a 2018 P3D or 3D Ghost. The 3D even with boost doesn’t have the peak initial power of its performance counter part. The roll race was what I expected though. They improved power delivery form the 60-120 mark compared to the pre refresh cars.

The results you see here are pretty much the performance difference between the Panasonic (US) and LG (China) models. Unfortunately.. I'm getting the LG version so I'm disappointed in performance, but happy with the other upgrades ompared to getting a Long-range instead..

@@mathieusturkenboom yes I know. and the 2024 M3P with LG battery is roughly as fast as the M3LR with boost. Silly battery choice by Tesla as the LG limits performance immensely

The results would be worse than this. Any M3LR is not as quick as an M3LR with the acceleration boost option.

@@MeltingRubberZ28 Acceleration boost is an option that I thought you should be able to buy whether you have an older 3 or new Highland, but I'm reading that may still not be true. Wow, that sucks... Not sure why it's currently restricted or if it will ever be available. Ran 10.75 @ 126+ mph for the 1/4 mile yesterday. That was full weight with All Season 235/45/18 tires all the way around. Heating the battery is still necessary for top speeds.

I noticed preconditioning helps a lot. Is it bad for the battery to precondition frequently if you’re not always supercharging? Also, what rims/tires did you use? Why all season? Does swapping to 18s impact the 0-60 a lot as well?

This is almost as bad as that plaid ms vs the new 2024 m3p video. 👍🏻😀 Seen that someone Sat out in nc ran a dragy verified 10.78s 1/4mile just using lighter 18s with some 235 as. So that's more than 5 new 2024 m3ps verified in the 10s by dragy now. 😎

One car is 52k, other M3P I found for 25k -4k federal rebate, then another 4k state rebate puts it down to 17k. I'm 19 years old and gonna own a 400hp+ cars

Rebates on used EV's? Never heard of that. Which state? The new M3P has fed and state rebates as well. Where I live its -7k fed and -$3k state, so 42k.
