Ensure you're pre-heating the battery. The battery temp matters even more than the SOC. You can heat up the battery by navigating to supercharger, it takes a while.

@@DezDrivenpre heat the battery by navigating to a nearby supercharger for about 10 mins then cancel the navigation before your run. There is a thread on teslamotorsclub forums where this guys runs 10.7 by just pre-heating the battery and using 18 inch wheels.

Are you preconditioning the battery? You should be sub 3 seconds 0-60 and sub 11 seconds 1/4 mile without too much effort other than that!

Surprised you were only pulling 3.2 second 0-60 times on such a high SOC I’ve seen some videos of 2.9’s (2.7 with rollout) on only 60-65% SOC And DA doesn’t affect EV like it does ICE

@@georgedavidov5250 same here George, I noticed a big difference in track prep from Las Vegas Motor Speedway Vs Irwindale Speedway which is my local track. At irwindale it puts down 0-60 in 3.0 seconds and 1.6 60ft… in Vegas it puts down 3.2 0-60 and 1.8 60ft. I left tire pressure about 40 PSI. Next time I am out there I will have my track wheels and tires and it should help with the launch 🚀

It's called. Lying. Their cars aren't stock. If watched countless of videos from car channels and the best they get is 2.95s .. these owners are switching out their rims, going downhill, taking out seats,etc..

@@G82WattsI get consistent 2.9s out of my M3P. I adjust the tire pressure as that plays a huge role and pre heat my battery. Leaving tire pressure at 40psi will kill the 0-60 times

Torque is directly proportional to voltage, so get your soc at the highest possible.

To get to those 10's you'll need smaller rims and grippier tires. Also as much as you can take off weight, but i wouldn't go that far :)

Swap the wheels out for 18’s and get a higher SOC. You should see mid 10’s

People are so ignorant . A m8 comp can run 10.8s .. u can also tell that the m3 was going to slaughter the tesla with how it came off the line but he didn't have it in the correct launch mode. The real story here is all the people acting like their teslas are stock when in reality this guys is stock and it's running no where close to the 10.7s that other tesla people claim. Clearly their cars aren't stock at all and they removed seats and used lighter wheels and act like they aren't doing it.

These sub 10.9 second m3p’s are manipulated runs, just as you said. Anyone can remove the seats and put on lighter wheels with gripper tires.

@@G82Watts I was spinning alot during the launch. At my local drag strip the track is a lot more prepped and I don’t spin at all. Definitely will be in low 10s with a better prepped track. Some of these model 3s dropping into 10.6 now it’s wild. & I think the M3 was not at temp yet while trying to engage launch control so it did not auto shift for him. That would have been a fun race too!!! One day I’ll take the M3 and M3P out here to Vegas and race both against each other 👍

@slickahhthing for one if ur going to race someone at a atop light they have to know ur racing wtf? Its not a race if either just gas it while the other is chilling and has no idea its a race. 2. For me m1 is sporty settings and m2 is launch control. All I have to do is press m2 if someone wants to race at a stoplight and if I'm up front I can see when the light on the side turns yellow--red. It stays engaged for 7 seconds so I've never had an issue winning everything. U can also say "hey BMW activate launch control" Ur lack of knowledge of bmw is apparent. A whole bunch of BS.
