Traction control and lift control are separate. You can set the wheelie to rise only so far. You can set the TC to intervene at gradient. Basically R1-derived settings.

@@exothermal.sprocket copy that! I knew that but forgot during the test ride. I also promised the dealer I wouldn’t wheelie it🤣

@@chiefyy710 XSR is probably a bit more sportsbike buttoned down, the MT a bit more tail heavy.

Nice vid bro🤘🏼 I’m looking to upgrade from a Rebel 500. Would you recommend this over your 8S, and what did you like more about the XSR?

@@jayrock81 XSR seat was much lower, which was comfy.. mt09 is very tall.. and they look very different so personal preference is a factor. You should test ride all of the above!

XSR runs a longer wheelbase, will feel a bit more buttoned down (less front-lifting). The XSR and MT bikes (890) have been trading off update schedules. 2025 the XSR finally got all the 2024 MT updates. The 2024 XSR had the 2021 MT updates.

@ they’re both great in their own ways. I personally like how the XSR sat lower and was more comfortable as a whole. Both come with 2nd gear gutted as noted in many other reviews
