Washington's also locked into the 17 slot and if the Isles lose one of their next 3 games they'll be in the 18 slot, so he could probably include at least Washington for now as well and decent chance he'll be able to throw in the Isles in the next few days.

As a Hawks fan I’d love to get Lindstrom. He’s exactly what they need. Skill with size and skating. He uses his size as well. Nothing more frustrating than watching large player not finish checks.

If the Ducks don't win first overall I can see them picking either Lindstrom or Silayev. Lindstrom is exactly the type of forward Verbeek likes and Silayev is flat huge. There are enough offensive minded D on the Ducks. They need a shut down guy and he would be it.

100% if this sim were to happen, Mtl has to pick Tij it's literally a no brainer. We need goal scoring and toughness around the boards, sure Catton is good, but that's not what he offers. He's yet another small player that would play on our top 6 (we already have Suzuki Caufield and Newhook that are pretty small) Don't get me wrong, I know Tij isn't all that big, but at least he won't dance around the boards like a Marner in the playoffs would😂

0:43 The league officially announced the lottery will take place on May 7th. They haven't announced the time yet, but last year it was initially set at 4 PM PDT before being pushed back an hour, so probably around the same time.

Thoughts: Close to what I was thinking, except Dickenson I think goes a little earlier (It's a bit of a toss up because so many great D but he has the tools to be a 200ft D-man in the NHL). Eiserman drops out of top 10 (which you have) after being a possible top 5. Lots linking Mtl to Catton but not sure they take him, I know a big thing for their mgmt is the team dynamic, so maybe he fits well, but Iginla has to be high on their board too. That said if a Dickenson drops I could see them drafting him and working a deal or two for a young fwd (Zegras, Perfetti, Necas, Johnson). I think Mtl is the most interesting team in the top 10 because they are loaded on the back end and the draft is full of great D picks. Also they could move up their winnipeg pick to get a pick that falls. Poor Ottawa, I think they need RHD (Sure they'd love Levshunov) but if they won the draft they gotta pick Celebrini, so maybe they do a little retool. I am sure the fans buy in to that when they know they are drafting such a quality player. I'm sure they role with it and see where things land by the trade deadline to determine if sell or buy.

I think NJ should be looking for a power forward over a defenseman. Always good to have more D in the system but already have Hughes, Nemec, Casey ready to go and Hamilton signed long term. Adding a 4th young D may be too much at once.

If Montreal is drafting after 5, they are taking Tij Iginla. They missed the mark by drafting Kotkaniemi over Brady Tkachuk in 2018. If he turns out to be 80% of the player his father was, slum dunk Montreal.
