The reason a lot of ultra light sports cars do have cruise control is that literally the only cost of installing it is 50 cent switch and a foot long of additional wire. Probably it would have cost more to develop a car without a cruise control as you would have to - at the very least - make different steering column panel, without the cutout for the switch.
@bwofficial17767 ай бұрын
Everything is computerized now, there's no cruise control module sitting on top of the throttle body with its own throttle cable any more. In the case of this 911, it shares the steering wheel and wiring harness with more daily-driver oriented 911s so everything's already there. The ounce that would be saved isn't worth it.

I love the emphasis Doug put on the exhaust sound - I'm sure it sounds cool while driving, but it literally sounds like my leaf blower

DOUG: I think a video on the chevy avalanche platform would be interesting its the quirkiness truck GM ever made in my opinion 😀

What about the GMC envoy XUV with that crazy power retracting roof and tailgate that would turn it into a "truck" with the push of a button.

the craziest part of this video is when at #16:15 Doug said: "even for me who's someone who doesn't get that obsessed with the little things!" what are you talking about man? that's the whole reason we've subscribed to your channel :))

I suspect at least a few will be equipped with the racing numbers because this car will be bought by the car investor types. This reminds me of the 911 sport classic 997 from 2010. Yes, I think the number is tacky but honestly, I kind of like the Porsche script on the doors so if I was given the option to remove the number but not the script that's how I would spec it but I of course can't afford this car anyhow.

I think this is about the 5th Doug video that claims that "this is the ultimate 911".

Porsche is in full marketing mode….lets keep repackaging special editions, charge stupid prices and make they wait for it.😂

If it's for road use, why did someone stick on a racing number?

It's the number "63" . It means something that you don't understand.

If I won the lottery this would be the most expensive car I would buy . I love how it isn’t that flashy and blends in with other 911s that are 1/3 the price.

Ok, but is it better than my ultra limited Fiesta ST…..I thinks not !

Apparently the Porsche 911 S/T got a 10lb flywheel. Just get a light flywheel and you'll get the same shifting experience. Tempted to switch my flywheel on my GR Corolla bc the factory was is a dual mass that was 34lbs! For the longest time I thought it was bc of the drive by wire(which definitely does play a role). Light flywheels make a world of difference that people don't realize.

Best investment of the yr! Enjoy only 500 miles never wash it for one yr, this particular model manual Porsche will realize 150k easily at re-sale.. every complaint solved outside of adjustable seating has been addressed so honestly all of Doug’s followers/subscribers are strong potential patrons of this very car. More than they’re willing to produce so it’s SOLD OUT! This thing might reach 475k base offerings by 2025 as long as they honor 1963 units only worldwide.. wow that’s some easy money and now I see why kids are paying 1000’s of dollars for T shirts today..

@rubystarcarrera7 ай бұрын
@@maxm3522I never said it wasn’t. But compared to other car manufacturers Porsche still builds these perfect cars. A Porsche 911 was never meant to be a car for everyone

@noxythedhole96267 ай бұрын
yeah that seems like a drawback, but doug tried to make it sound like a good thing I guess if the weight savings was significant, maybe, but I'd still prefer to have RAS. Works great on the Taycan at least!
