I’ve had my base Cayman for 2 years now. Done a few mods: lowering springs, blacked out lights and wheels, tuned to run on e30 (+75 hp) and wireless CarPlay. The car is a stunner and can easily do 0-60 in 3.8 seconds. In the canyons I’ve had a Turbo S, GT4 and an R34 GTR struggle to keep up. Each of them said “Wow! That car just cuts through the corners!” The interior has been the same since 2017 and is modest, but not noticeable. I didn’t buy the car to stare at the dash. That said, it feels like quality enough and very driver focused. I’ve convinced several others to try the platform as well. Easily the best smile-to-dollar value out there.

That's a great color! I'm still loving my 987.1 but I apprecite the smaller, more nimble car with the hydraulic steering. Enjoy what ever you choose to buy, it's your money and any Cayman will put a huge smile on your face every time you drive it.

I bought a yellow 2024 Cayman S last year August to replace my 2021 Cayman S because I was told 2025 model will be all electric! 😡 The only bad thing I still don’t like is the “high tech” cup holders! I had a 2015 Carrera S with Aerokit but I love the Cayman S more because of its mid engine configuration. Corning is much smoother and easier! This is a perfect sport car for daily use! 👍👍👍 Of course it is $40000 cheaper than the Carrera S and only 0.3 seconds slower from 0-60 mph with PDK and sport+ launch control! I can spend $5000 to upgrade the engine to 450 hp then it will be faster than the Carrera S! 😊

I have one and its the best engine i have had, if no one tells you its a 4 cylinder you would think its a v8. Tons of power and go. Add a tuner and mid pipe and it is a beast. Funny, i did not want one because of all the internet noise, once I drove it, big smile and said i need this.

Do a test drive before you do it. 6 cyl does not suits to everybody. 1/ it is naturally aspirated, you will miss current torque at any tíme you need it/ it has very Long gears!

Major issue no one talks about are the horrible Porsche dealers demanding market adjustments. What a turn off. Austin Tx dealer demands $10k over on ALL SPORTS CARS they sell. Walked out.

The 718 CS is the best trim. Turbo fits the platform the best. Porsche made a mistake using a flat six in the boxster. The GTS 4.0 has incorrect gearing, no low end torture and you must keep the revs above 5k to have fun. Spec the CS with the 6spd manual, PASM, Sport Chrono, and PTV and youll have the best 718 made. It's more fun than the bloated 911 and the 718 is a true sportscar.
@dlg54853 ай бұрын
That's a matter of opinion. There's plenty to love about the flat 6 PDK combo. Not everyone has to have a manual transmission. I own a 2024 Miata 6-speed and I absolutely love that car, but if I got a 718, I'd definitely get the 6cyl w/PDK, avoiding the intentionally tall gearing of the manual, which actually is still present in the S.

@@982SharkBlue Torque delivery is irrelevant to my point. What's the point of a manual transmission if you don't get to shift gears on back road because the gearing is too tall??? The problem with the 718 manual is that gearing saps the fun. May as well get the faster PDK.

$108k on a flat four turbo with a plastic dash is just insulting. Only thing Porsche could do to ruin a pure sports car like a Boxster/Cayman even more is electrify it....
