yesss Thanks for hopping on this FVA! Excellent answers and love seeing you diving deep into a lot of music we don't hear as much about (special shout out to Camel). Oh Music in a Doll's House is a perfect choice and I didn't even think that it was that early. Great choice on the Hendrix. Ohhhh Beggar's Opera... WOW. Eloy... another band I've wanted a lot of things from but so hard to find here in the States. Gosh, your collection is absolutely outstanding with so many artists that were never distributed here. and yeah.. can't go wrong with Foxtrot. What a beauty. Thank you Jack! Did you watch my previous vinyltag2024 video? Rush holds indeed a very special place in my my heart as I grew up listening to these their albums, particularly 2112 and Moving Pictures. All of the songs on this record have a deep meaning. Rush is my father's all-time favorite band he was introduced to when he came here on vacation in the late 70s. He had brought back a couple of Rush's album from his trip and he also bought some in France. And yeah, I really love bands from the UK, specially when it comes to the Prog Rock genre, though I wanted to bring some diversity to it. Thanks for taking the time to leave such a nice comment, this is really appreciated, cheers

Hey Mike, that was a good one 😆Well, as i moved last year to a new country, and IKEA's dealing with post-lockdowns supply shortages back then, I can tell you that was not even a joke. I really love English bands as you know, specially when it comes to the Prog Rock genre, though I wanted to bring some diversity to it. too bad we didn't have our weekly live stream yesterday, hope Iain's health will improve soon, take care

The Nimrodel medley is my favorite on Mirage by Camel. Love the last part with the mysterious guitar sounds. I love the early albums of Premiata Forneria Marconi. I bought them on CD's on a vacation in Italy 8 years ago. I also like their 80's song named 46. My favorite Italian prog band is Le Orme. I bought almost everything by them on CD in Italy 8 years ago. Front man Aldo Tagliapietra's solo albums from 2012 and 2013 are also very good and kind of a return to their 70's sound. Prologue is my favorite Renaissance album and their first with Annie Haslam. I love Voyage Of The Acolyte by Steve Hackett. It is like a secret Genesis album. I love Yes Close To The Edge and their next two albums. The beginning of the song Close To The Edge may be a bit too much for beginners to digest maybe. My favorite prog band and prog album of all time is Foxtrot by Genesis. I first heard it when I bought it on cassette on a vacation in Italy in 1988. (I have only been to Italy twice). I was only 13 years old then and it was like a magical landscape of music listening to Foxtrot and especially Supper's Ready.

Hey, thank your very much for taking the time to leave such a cool and detailed comment, this is much appreciated! I recently went into Le Orme, their '73 album ''Felona E Sorona'' is amazing. I will check Tagliapietra's solo work out, thanks for the recommandation. And as for the question #19, I hesitated between ''Close To The Edge'' and ''Selling England By The Pound'', TBH I didn't want to have too much Genesis (my all-time favorite prog band) in this video, but I agree with you, CTTE is pretty ''complex'. Supper's Ready IS my favorite prog song of all times.

Thanks Brian, from what i could gather from watching your videos, addressing this tag with the new wave/post punk side may be your "attack" on this as quite a few of these 80s bands which I am thinking of are part of the "Grey area of Prog" (XTC, Talk Talk, etc...)

Nice picks VFA! This seems challenging for me but I think I just may give it try. I’ve seen that Mirage Camel album in the wild many times but it’s always beat beyond purchasing. Rush is great and holds many memories from my teen years.

@@franciskocher200 oui à Montréal lors des fêtes de rues dans les quartiers qui font "village" autour des parcs et des rues piétonnisées, mais surtout l'été, sous 40 cm de neige et à-15°C ils n'osent pas trop sortir les bacs à vinyle 🥶

@@franciskocher200 justement c'est un mix des deux. Ils y a autant de disquaires qui y participent que des personnes qui gèrent des magasins de seconde main et vendent (livre, disques d'occase), Montréal c'est très "baba cool" dans certains quartiers lol
