This is so gross, brother! in the summer of 2018, I bought a 19’ DT Laramie, loaded to the gills for $43,000. So glad I did, because you can’t even buy a Laramie anymore, the way mine is optioned. They really blew it! It’s easily the nicest, most luxurious vehicle I’ve EVER owned or driven, but if I were a new FCA buyer today, and paid twice as much for less, I wouldn’t be feeling so happy.

I bought a 2019 Ram Limited Crew Cab 6'4" bed with literally every option for $71k. One of the few Ram 1500s over 70k at the time per the dealer. Now a stripped down Laramie is 64k. Wow. I don't understand keeping the name Laramie where you have basic options. This is a lower level trim with the wrong badging. Laramie used to be top trim level before the introduced the Limited name around 2016. Laramie always had upgraded headlights, fender flares, and auto 4wd since 2009. Now none of it. Unbelievable.

Even with the de-contenting, this truck still feels the nicest inside. Most dealers will not order such a base Laramie, and you’ll just end up paying more and getting the features you want. Even with the options, pricing is on par with a Ford Lariat or a Chevy LTZ.

Local dealer here in Indiana had 2 2023 Ram Limited for 65,000$ also the same dealer sells Ford and the F-150 Lariat 2023 has dropped from 73,000 ish to 64,000 ish.

@Mike14G yeah that's true to a point though some cars hold their resale value pretty well particularly when there rarer models like the Hyundai Azera for example a 2012 with 27,000 Miles on the Odo is worth $11,051 that describes my moms to a tee though since the model was discontinued in the US in 2018 for poor sales only managing 200,000 in 19 yrs. of production while for ex the Toyota Camry sold about 4 million units in its first 19 yrs. for sale in the US and has since sold 9.6 million more units in the US best selling mid size sedan for 25 of the last 26 model years though sales will be down around 12.5% this year from last year and the lowest they've been in 34 years since 1989 but the US is that models biggest market by far its being discontinued in Japan after 44 years on sale due to poor sales Australia maybe next as the Camry sold less than 10,000 units there in 2022 and is looking like its going to sell around 8,345 units there this year

This Laramie would be 70k plus equally equipped or more Glad i jumped out of it when pricing was good.....wouldnt be worth squat today.... Wow this inflation is ridiculous!! My truck was 68K. It’s a 2022 had 4K in rebates plus the the dealer used 2K in Ram Coupons so 62 before dealer discount. Chrysler Capital had 1.9% for 60 months or 2.9 for 72. My truck is a Laramie to but has 22s, Panoramic Sunroof, Harman Kardon Sound System, 12 inch screen, front and rear proximity sensors, blindspot monitoring with cross path detection, sport appearance package with the sport hood, 4 Auto, bucket seats, trailer brake, rear in the floor storage, rear sliding glass, two 115 V outlets, wireless charging, heated rear seats, power running boards, spray in bed liner, and tailgate release on the key fob. I went to build the same truck as a 2024 89K with 7% interest. Same truck 2 years apart 21K dollar difference.

Gosh, my stripped-down '21 Laramie's sticker was $58 for nearly the identical truck and I have EcoDiesel, Towing Mirros and Off-Road Group. No level 1 or 2 though and factory 18s on mine. $8-10K increase in 3-years hurts, especially with the '25 refresh just around the corner.

Ram is downgrading their trucks. I personally love the led headlights. I actually don’t really like the ram without them. However, I work in automotive parts. It’s not a matter of if the light blows out, it’s when. Let me tell ya, they’re expensive. I can kinda see why ram would take the away as a standard feature. Now if only Chrysler could figure how to fix the $1000 tail light bar on the Durango.

This is a tradesman, my 2022 factory order bighorn has 4wd auto, the bed step, spray in bed liner, bed lights, protective underbody plates, 33 gal tank, sports pkg, chrome wheels... ect. All the bells and whistles invoice pricing was 59,000 then 54,000 otd including taxes with $5000 in manufacturer rebates and 0% Chrysler capital financing. I researched for 2 years. Sure glad I got my factory order in may of 22. My big horn is ten times better... ice buckets, back folding underseat storage, front and rear park sensors, traction control. Makes my 22 bighorn seem like a Laramie. Payless is back....pay more get less!

That 2024 Laramie is appx $12,000 more (Canadian) then my 2019 Laramie was…. Not to mention that back then you could get a $10,000 rebate(Canadian), and a low interest rate. And the 2024 is missing: LED front lights, Blind Spot Monitoring, 5 passenger seating with larger centre console/wireless charging, 19 speaker Harmon Kardon speaker system, 4WD-Auto, Fender Flares, rear power sliding window, rear in floor storage bins, rear heated seats, spray in bed liner with adjustable bed tie downs, LED bed lights, trailer brake controller, front and rear parking sensors, and anti-spin rear differential. Just from what I can see, but I’m sure there’s more if I spent more time on this. This is just crazy. Same body style truck, significantly less features, only 5 years of model year change, and WAY more money. Especially when you take the smaller rebate or now, and lower interest rates then before. You’d think building the same body style truck, it becomes cheaper for the manufacturer to make overtime, but I guess it just isn’t our reality anymore, or just terrible terrible greed. I still love Ram trucks, and bought a 22 Rebel before leaving the car industry. But I do not look forward to the next time I have to make a truck purchase…

I bought my 2020 ram 1500 laramie in 2021 so a year old and it had i think around 28k miles it was pristine no paint scratches or dents it was basically new. It came with LED lights 12 inch screen the sun roof the 33 gallon tank sport package and off road package. I didn't really care if it had the offroad package or not but this one had everything else i wanted and it just happened to have the offroad package. and i paid 49k for it and that was after adding the extended warranty to it. I think its crazy how these vehicles not just ram but chevy and ford are taking away features and adding to the price tag.

One would think Ram could still include the front LED's at the prices they are charging for these trucks. With that said, after driving F-150's for years I can say my Laramie is the quietest, and best riding truck I've ever owned.

No fender flares on the Laramie, SMH....I had those exact same wheels on my 2019 Ram 1500. I agree they are nice rims and they're smart to keep using them. I do miss my 1500 back seat - way more room than in my 2500. Also, SHOCKED there are no Ram bins in the back - what the hell??? They're seriously cheaping out. Bench seat in the front also seems more Bighorn-sih. Still sticking with the high sticker price!!! The more I see, the more I am glad I bought my post-covid, pre-inflation 2022 2500. Wow!! Still waiting on parts for one of the 5 recalls (heater grid assembly, of course). But otherwise it's been a great truck. Final context - I think I paid about $50,000 for my 2019 Ram Laramie Sport 4x4 that had more shit on it than this one.

Our 2023 4x4 Laramie Hemi/Etorque didn’t come with fender flares, either, but did come with LED headlights, ice buckets/storage bins underneath the rear floor mats, power rear window, and four wheel drive auto. So with the 2024 you get less for more $$$$.
