What a year for emulators. The best one was shardps4 running bloodborne almost perfect in less that 6 months. The worst was the Yuzu issue and its forks. The emulation progress can be slowed, but not stop.

Another great video from this great channel. 2024 has been a tough year for emulation. I wonder if devs like Zephyron do not fear Nintendo and their lawyers in keeping the work of Yuzu alive on the surface web.

I imagine that in 2025 we will have several exciting developments, including at least two new 3DS emulators that won’t be Citra forks. Ryujinx has also been receiving significant improvements, a new PS2 emulator for Android based on AetherSX2 might appear, and hopefully, Yaba Sanshiro will make a comeback. ShadPS4 is continually improving, and RPCSX will likely start running its first commercial games soon. There’s so much happening that I could make a whole new video just about this!

@@AlexwpiGame what I hope for, at least, is that next year there won't be or won't be so many bad events and/or that it won't be as aggressive as this year

This year, the emulation community really crossed the line, with a lot of intrigue and people trying to outdo each other, often through emulation projects, like children showing off their new toys. I hope more developers adopt honorable attitudes like Lime3DS and PabloMK7, who were able to unite their efforts. If coming together isn't possible, at least live in peace, like Ryujinx and Yuzu used to.
