Bassist Bob Daisley wrote all of the lyrics. The powerhouse of Daisley and drummer Lee Kerslake on those first two albums are equally as important and they should not be forgotten.

Billy is so good live. I saw him twice this summer. Once in May and once in September. His voice has aged, but gracefully, and he’s a terrific entertainer. I highly recommend anyone go see him. Of people from his era, he’s one of the best performances you can see, he’s still definitely got what it takes. I hope he makes it into the rock hall himself soon, because while he may have flirted with new wave and synth stuff, he’s always been a rocker at heart. Him and Steve Stevens were amazing in the 80’s and they’re amazing today.

Jellyroll can sing..and I appreciate it that from a 'rapper'. I generally think that 99% of rappers are hacks. If you can't sing in key or play an instrument, you are not a musician. But he is different, because he can sing and clearly appreciates good music. However, here, he was definitely the weakest performer. He was pitchy and had problems with parts of the song. However, I am not going to be critical, because it was great to see that someone who is generally regarded as a rapper, has respect for good music. I heard him sing Skynard and he did a really good job there too. I am only making this post to counter some of the 'Jellyroll stole the show' type of comments that I see from people who clearly do not understand music. It is just like sports...just because someone or team is your favorite, it doesn't mean that they are the best. hehe.

I never appreciated Ozzy until later in life and he was just a nut, but honestly a good person AND hilarious. I used to watch the Osbournes and when he threw a ham at his neighbors house, tossed it right over the fence, I fell in love. Then he was doing a road trip with Jack and they went back to San Antonio to go to the Alamo. Ozzy got arrested there, he peed on one of the walls of the Alamo. Both Kelly and Jack had issues and I was so happy to see that as time went by, they both worked through them and was sad to hear that Jack has MS. HE is another one that really deserves to be in the hall of fame and I am so glad that both he and Cher were honored before they passed. I'm their age so I realize time goes by way too quickly.

My Ma didn’t like me buying the Early SABBATH albums in the mid 1970s when I was 12 or 13….She had a hissing fit when she overheard Sabbath Bloody Sabbath on the vinyl record player and saw Ozzy’s picture on the B&W gatefold picture of the Paranoid L.P -‘you’re NOT listening to that sinister looking man’ ! She would shout…lol…But I DID….When she went out shopping I would turn the stereo up to the max and would blow the channels listening to War Pigs and Iron Man and I remember Sabotage’s ‘Hole in the Sky’ would have me Ma’s tin ornaments rattle vibrating on the mantelpiece … And sometimes the battle axe who lived one house up from us would furiously ring the front doorbell to complain…..lol. Unless you were an Earth fan or lived in Aston (Birmingham) in early 1970, his unique voice first gave you the shivers with the line, "What is this that stands be-fore me?" sung over the slow and ominous devil's triad. The church protested, the BBC banned, and the bad kids lost their f'ing minds.

@@eugeniollamera771 Yea, I agree. And Rap music should be taken out of THE RRHOF as well & Country also. Not knocking the music, but ROCK N ROLL is what it says it is. How they get Rap in there Country, I'll probably never know.

Cher made it in before Ozzy!??? Come on. Its supposed to be the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. The closest Cher ever came to R & R is when she was married to Greg Allman. This institution has become so political that many of the inducted artists are calling it the R & R Hall of Shame.

@@jeffreyrigby7324 Cher was inducted on the same night as Ozzy. I agree. A lot of the artist inducted into the RNRHOF are not technically rock n roll. I’ve heard many artists say they don’t care if they are in the RNRHOF. There are also many rock artists that should be in the RNRHOF but are not.

Thank you Randy Rhoads, Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake. The band BLIZZARD OF OZZ was easily the greatest true hard rock ensemble of the 80's. Two albums and mike drop. Wish they could have done more. Ozzy is Ozzy - he's smart enough to hire the best and hopefully he's singing the praises of Butler and Daisley - without whom he'd have had no career.
