Pity it needs valve intrusion so often - it is shims now - not as before - could be fixed with a screwdriver and pair of pliers...... If this bike had came out before the Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400, it would sell like hot cakes here in Europe. But now it's gonna face some serious competition. I have a feeling that it still gonna sell well, especially because RE has already built a reputation for itself, and I'm certain the bike will be aggressively priced as per usual from Royal Enfield. That being said. I would pay the little extra for the Triumph.
@jimmyjam8795Ай бұрын
I'm now on my second 650 RE, and I really like the bikes (only for weekend fun, have other bikes for all year round commuting). It's only when you need warranty repairs, that I find my uk dealer to be so frustrating that I no longer use them for servicing and this will be my last RE (I always intended to keep this one for a while anyway) certainly from them.

The servicing would appear to be expensive as they now have shimmed valve guides that require inspection and adjusting at a very low 6k miles and again at only 12k miles. That service interval is incredibly short. Yamaha is at 24k miles as one one of the best. Short of high-performance dirt bikes I can't think of another bike that has such short intervals for their shimmed OHC setup.
