G'day Mark, Royal Enfield have hit the mark with this 450cc motorcycle, the rider that doesn't want a big cruiser motorcycle who want a no fuss bit of fun on the road be it in town or country this bike will do all that and RE,s reliability is renowned that's why l have two, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.

I like that you emphasize the centerstand. So few bikes have one these days, only Royal Enfield still fit one to all their bikes. And as we all know, chain drive sucks, chain drive and no centerstand really sucks!

beautiful bike and very nice review 👍 BUT..i am waiting for the supposed Himalayan 650..i already have a bought new 2021 Himalayan which has been through 3 UK winters and is showing minimal rust to be honest (frame is as new, just engine bolts have tarnished, my givi engine bars have rusted more than anything)..i love it and couldn't ever sell it, it is my commuter and heavily loaded up with camping gear touring bike..a true reliable workhorse that i have serviced myself after getting ripped off on the first service dealer cost 😁 RE bikes are very reliable , have good quality parts and are brilliant for long term ownership 💪 edit: never been sprayed with any rust inhibitor like ACF50 etc

Like it mark, I feel like this is the RE I've been waiting for. Been half tempted by the ridiculously pretty hunter but held off due to the lack of power, still probably an absolute joy on the country lanes though. This one looks right, has the right amount of power and some decent upgrades in equipment which probably makes the extra outlay worthwhile.

Amazingly FEW negative things 😀 As usually - an extremely positive review. Bike looks pretty decent. Pity it needs valve intrusion so often - it is shims now - not as before - could be fixed with a screwdriver and pair of pliers...... Honda has gone from 25000 km UP to ~ 50000 km between valve checks. Enfield should have done better here.

If this bike had came out before the Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400, it would sell like hot cakes here in Europe. But now it's gonna face some serious competition. I have a feeling that it still gonna sell well, especially because RE has already built a reputation for itself, and I'm certain the bike will be aggressively priced as per usual from Royal Enfield. That being said. I would pay the little extra for the Triumph.

I'm now on my second 650 RE, and I really like the bikes (only for weekend fun, have other bikes for all year round commuting). It's only when you need warranty repairs, that I find my uk dealer to be so frustrating that I no longer use them for servicing and this will be my last RE (I always intended to keep this one for a while anyway) certainly from them.

Also again not sure if you mentioned it 🤣, was you in sport or eco mode?.. overall i like this better than the hunter, purely because of the power, But i prefer the paint job on the Hunter. The servicing would appear to be expensive as they now have shimmed valve guides that require inspection and adjusting at a very low 6k miles and again at only 12k miles. That service interval is incredibly short. Yamaha is at 24k miles as one one of the best. Short of high-performance dirt bikes I can't think of another bike that has such short intervals for their shimmed OHC setup.

@markpulling12 I'm biased though as I have a cf moto 450 mt 😀

I prefer my mt 03. It's lighter, lower, more economical and has a turbine smooth peach of a twin cylinder engine. In addition, it has no reliability issues and it's handling dynamics ( same as the r3) enable me to keep up with my friends riding much larger bikes.

Royal Enfield is the toyota in 2 wheeler segment period. The reliability, build quality is excellent and even exceeded my expectations.

Hi tbh both are equally good 💯 Try both if you can ....at a push I'd go for the honda just because of the brilliant reliability and quality Cheers mark

@@markpulling12 Hey Mark! I'm defenitely going to make sure to test ride them both, but my decision leans more to the ninja 500. Thanks for your comment!!

Lots to like here, centre stand, loads of info on the display but………. I’d still take the Speed 400. Great review Mark!

@@philbailey1397 A reasonable question Phil. This would/will be a second bike for me. A sunny day ride, so aesthetics can take a lead over practicalities and capabilities I guess. I love the looks of the Speed 400. Additionally there’s excellent and established dealer support for the Triumph in my neck of the woods; not so much for Royal Enfield.

I, too, enjoy your reviews a lot. But I implore you to watch this with a pencil and paper to hand, and count how many times you use the word 'nice'. Answer: too many times. You are a professional communicator, so you owe your viewers a wider range of vocabulary. Other than that, this, like all your videos, is very nice.
