I think most characters other than Ganon are viable. If you put the time into most characters you can see results. Many of the bottom tier characters have dedicated specialists that truly show the possibilities of the characters. If you believe in a character, you can make it work.

As far as "bad" recoveries go that lower end is for Dr. Mario, Mac, and Ganon, etc where they don't have a good trade off for their bad recoveries. Aegis and Min Min dominate the neutral and even then their recovery options are better

i am indeed commenting 12 days late; as a chrom player i would like to clarify some things about disadvantage. besides recovery up air is solid for breaking combos, his speed and fallspeed are great for corner situations and juggling, which is helped by his disjoints. his recovery can be protected with low endlag fair, airdodge is viable to ledge, and if you recover low/high enough you can avoid counters. the recovery is def the worst facet of disadvantage fsr but manageable. sorry for commenting edit also i think that it matters less to have a bad recovery as you get higher in skill because it becomes the same as other character's disadvantage

I think one of the most underrated aspects of Isabelle is neutral air. Despite having about the same frame data as Villager’s, it kills earlier and has a surprisingly large disjoint, which makes it significantly easier to combo with, whether that be into itself or other moves. Even though villager can do two neutral airs out of a short hop as well, Isabelle’s version is simply better.

I main link, i think link players need to understand that fair loop across the map is unrealistic, so do 1, still good dmg and you finish with up b. Also, more optimization of bomb dair or simple nuetral confirm is needed (like insted of boomerang fair you can do boomerang bair up b, stuff like that)

Link specks into too many things and none of them are good enough to make a great difference meanwhile other characters speck into fewer things and can compensate their weaknesses by being overbearing in what their strengths are. Link is all around and has nothing of that sort that would realistically work.

@@SonamSlash NAIR is actually broken. It straight up beats majority of moves and is a -1 combo tool that also kills. His ledge trapping is literally god-like when you use his NAIR in combination with his BOMB ledge trapping, ledge trump UP-B, and very large and powerful sword moves. His edge guarding is also some of the best in the game because of just how many ways he has to edgegaurd. He can use bomb, up b, Nair, boomerang and arrow while staying on stage. His UP B, while not extremely fast is extremely large and powerful making you have to respect it, and if he has bomb in hand there are several options he can do with it OOS. His sword moves are great for punishing approaching opponents when you’re walking away, and can straight up outrange swordsman as well. While Link doesn’t traditionally have a burst option, with bomb, he does. While it’s not extremely powerful by itself, it puts you in a position where you have to choose an option or Link will be in advantage. If you jump throw it, you can follow directly behind it and get immediately shield pressure. He also has some of the best disadvantage in the game in combination with bomb, reverse b/wavebounce, super fast fall, down air fast fall or slow fall. Link is actually a very complex character that can just be played in a simple way, but requires you to play differently in many MUs.

Toon Link is the best Link as he's considered like top 20 in Japan, and all their mid players beat our best players; it recently happened an amazing Toon Link over there beat Spargo or someone. The results dont lie. Toon Link actually has better dash speed, air speed, faster/longer range tilts than young link. Higher jumps to confirm u tilt into u air. Their fair is the same speed (frame 14) but toon Link kills sooner. And the slower moving projectiles compared with his better air speed help him control more space. Young link does have a faster up air and better fall speed though, and ofc fire arrows are busted and one of most free spammable projectiles in the game

The key to Inkling getting kills is a mix of their ink and hitting blast zones. They're far from the bottom since they rack up damage so quickly. Piranha Plant is underrated- I think it's just memed on for the sake of it.

Chrom's recovery is significantly worse than aegis. Pyra rises pretty quick and i believe snaps ledge. Mythra has a lot of mixup options as well as a horizontal recovery option. Chrom on the other hand has a very predictable recovery vector, doesn't snap the ledge on the way up, takes about 30+ frames to begin rising, about 20 frames to begin descending while above the ledge, and no protective hitboxes while rising. Most characters have very consistent and safe means to deal with it. Chrom also suffers from having one of the worst air acceleration in the game while being a fast faller. This means he is extremely vulnerable without a double jump especially since his recovery gives next to no horizontal recovery. While aegis has a weak recovery, chrom's is straight up crippling.

Sephiroth has a large amount of potential untapped, an example of this would be Sriks winning over Glutonny in a large tourney setting, he may of lost the second encounter but he dam well provided a structure and a foundation of potential and potential to said character. You've been proven wrong so many times that we now have evidence of all your tierlist and if you compare them you would have many versions of inconsistent wrong intakes that show lack of understanding to any rational individual. You even admitted it with banjo and kazooie, for 4 years players who understood told you the character had potential and you vehemently continued to claim otherwise. You now say " I may have underrated the character" . How many other characters are you underrated based on pure bias.
