Liked the review. This Legacy is almost identical to the one I bought in September. I have option package 13 instead of 15. I didn't want a moon roof. I added auto dimming mirrors and home link. I love this car. I have about 6,200 miles on it so far, averaging just over 30 mpg. Just finished a 2,000 mile road trip and it's the most comfortable car I've ever owned. I highly recommend the legacy

I hope you keep making videos for many years to come. This was a very different style of review than most of the copycats we see. Well done.

I really appreciate you saying that! And I hope I can and that they only get better and better with experience and future opportunities. I do this just part time for now, but I think my approach and assessment of a vehicle to review really comes from my physical therapy trained mindset has really helped me form my own pattern of what I think is valuable to include in a car review video. Anyways, thanks again!! 🙂

👍🏻👍🏻. This car in the premium trim should make sense to a lot of people.

Agreed. I have started looking at the Legacy Sport or Limited XT, thinking the Turbo would be very much needed at elevation (I'm at about 5000 feet). But after seeing this do 0-60 in about 8.5 seconds at a similar altitude, it is right in line with other midsize sedans with base engines. It is making the extra $ for the 2.4 Turbo seem less necessary, and I don't need the extra features beyond the Premium trim.

I Liked the review. I owned a 2017 Legacy and put 150k miles on it lol Had battery issues and had to replace the alternator . I jus traded it in and got the same one here just minus the sunroof. I like how they drive, how great visibility is and awd vs other sedans. My commute to work is 45 miles each way and im in the Northeast so it’s a perfect ride for me. Thanks for the info!

I have a 2008 legacy gt limited. I bought it brand new. I have 208,000 miles on it. Still running great. But I'm thinking of buying a 2024 legacy limited. The newer ones have all the safety bells and whistles

I’m glad you’re 08 had treated you so well! These new ones definitely are pretty sweet, It’s nice that Subaru still sells the Legacy.

I just bought this 2024 Premium. It’s fine for town driving, but at freeway speeds the steering is too sensitive. Having to constantly adjust the steering wheel makes it feel unsafe. Feels like a wind is constantly buffeting the car. My mechanic suggested a sway bar might help. Any thoughts on that idea? Lastly, the ride is rough and every bump is felt but everyone says that’s normal for newer lighter weight cars.
@AutomotiveAnonymous2084 ай бұрын
I’m sorry to hear about that experience. I’m unfamiliar with what after market support these Legacy’s have for modifications to help with that or if any front sway bars from the Outback would fit. I also agree the steering sensitivity is a bit much at high speeds. Best of luck.

I drove a loaner Legacy home yesterday while my '14 BRZ is having a front wheel bearing replaced (as a result of hitting a killer pothole). I set the cruise control and was immediately annoyed by the car constantly nudging the steering. Probably a fine family car, but too many bells and whistles. I can't wait to get the BRZ back! It's like driving a go-kart!

BRZs are sweet! I own a 23 Miata so I get it. 😜

Great review! Always been a fan of the Legacy since the time I had a 2005 2.5 GT!! They still are a great value for the price! Although I would get an Outback over this for its utility and practicality.

I’m glad you liked this one! It’s been so long since I filmed it, as you can see outside it’s the fall, I forgot how nice this Crimson Red Premium was lol! I bet that GT was a sweet sedan! I agree, with the practicality of a crossover, it’s hard to justify a sedan for almost the same price these days. 🥺

Do you see many of these up north? I’m in Dallas, Texas and see plenty of Outbacks, Foresters and Ascents, but I yet have to see one of these on the road. And I drive plenty of miles around the metroplex.
@AutomotiveAnonymous2088 ай бұрын
No, not really. 😅 I like seeing them because IMO they are a good looking sedan, even that first gen Legacy I showed a picture of I thought looked pretty cool. Also, I’m sad to see many manufacturers not producing “cars” because of the smaller profit margins over more expensive trucks/SUVs. So I like seeing them, but I don’t often. I’m surprised you’ve never seen one in the wild? 😬 Although, if I lived in a place without snow, I likely wouldn’t consider a full time AWD vehicle. I’d actually love to see a map of Subaru vehicle sales in America to see how much more dense the northern sales are. 🙂

@@AutomotiveAnonymous208 I think it’s sharp looking, too. Even better if they would make it a hatchback/wagon like the old Legacy GT wagons! Now that would be sharp. Kind of like a larger Subaru Levorg.

I just bought one and live in Beaumont, so far I've only seen about 3. I saw several more in Colorado, but still much more rare than the other Subarus. In Colorado it seemed like every third car on the road was a Subaru

To bad after the 2025 they are stopong Production on the Legacy. It's a nice car at a great price.

Subaru really gotta tone it down with the plastic around the fog lights

I've wondered why the Legacy is rated at 35 mpg highway, and the Impreza RS with the exact same engine is only rated at 33 mpg highway? The Impreza is a lighter vehicle isnt it? 🤔

I have the big screen in my outback I like, the wife has the small screen in her crosstrek I don't like it. I'm thinking of adding the legacy to my driveway.

Do yo have to use the adaptive cruise control or can that be turned off?
@AutomotiveAnonymous2088 ай бұрын
Yeah, it’s pretty easy to turn it off. I have a video about 14 hidden secrets on Subarus and in that short video I show how to turn it off. 🙂

whats the 0-60 with the 2.4 turbo ?
@AutomotiveAnonymous2088 ай бұрын
In my testing I think always in the 6’s and usually low to low mid, true time. I’ve never tested a new 2.4 turbo Subaru below a low 6. But I once rode in a low 4s IAG block STI that did that even having to shift up to 3rd, that was sweet lol. 😂
