I love the Hankook tyres, I just want them to make their iON EVO tyre for the 2024 Kona EV which they don't have the size for but their competitor Michelin(ePrimacy) have told me they are developing the tyre size for the 2024 Kona EV. I luckily don't need new tyres yet not for another couple years but really hope Hankook come to the party for the tyre size. As for Porsche & BMW as they would have their marketing teams there why not go talk to them introduce yourself puts a face to the name when they see your emails come in when requesting a media loan. I know that is what some other KZbinrs do particularly at big shows like this where the actual manufacturer is there not the dealer, also known as networking. :)

Thanks Tom- there are soooo many cars available in this Chinese EV invasion (for want of a better word). As for the PHEV Utes, I think the BYD is the pick and especially because of it’s large battery, but 2.5t tow rating is a deal breaker for us. I need a GENUINE 3t, - not the fake 3.5t in the others. They’re 3.5t on paper but that’s all- there’s no way that you can tow 3.5t in practice and stay within all limits.

No Hyundai? There are so many Chinese brands now. I would be a little nervous buying one as who knows which ones will survive and which will go out of business or stop supplying Australia. I couldn't think of anything worse than spending over $50,000 plus on an EV only for that vehicle to become an orphan and abandoned with no support in this country. thanks for your content.
@LudicrousFeedАй бұрын
No Hyundai but Kia was there. I cautiously think we're probably seeing the best of the Chinese brands in BYD, Xpeng, Zeekr and Deepal (Changan) - they're all backed by OEMs who have proven themselves in the CDM. Hopefully this comment ages well 😭

I went on Saturday and the show was OK but I thought a bit underwhelming compared to Everything Electric. No Polestar, no Hyundai. Maybe they pick one show per year and they’ve picked EE instead of this. Disappointed that so many vehicles are gravitating towards the chunky SUV form factors with design styling that make them look like a cross between a high-end running shoe and a Transformer. Sorry, but this event was so disappointing. Limited cars and some brands not even represented. No CT. Charging industry woefully under represented. Nothing on sustainability and too many hybrids. The Chinese brands really showed up and it wasn't for them, then this would have been a 15min side show. Some ford rep trying to tell me that BEV are being all replaced by hybrids. I am concerned. Is it the flooding of cheap, and low quality Chinese electronics.. Is it sustainable? How ethical and environmentally friendly are these manufacturers?
@wayne0316Ай бұрын
Oh, very unethical indeed! Western governments should absolutely make laws forcing their companies to pay overseas workers the same minimum wages as domestic workers. And, of course, we should require foreign companies to pay local wages if they want to sell anything here. So, in Australia’s case, that would mean an Australian company in China should be paying their workers $24/hr minimum, and Chinese companies selling in Australia should pay their workers $24/hr too. Makes perfect sense-because that will totally fix all issues around outsourcing and moving overseas!
