You know ball. I was looking for this comment, look at these people talking about that Spain team like it was one ordinary team. That Spain 08 basketball team won the FIBA world cup in 2006, silver in 2008 Olympics and Gold in 2009 Euro basket championship. That team was a top team.

Rudy Fernandez and Navarro were mocked by Americans as scrubs in the NBA and so was Sergio Rodriguez who played for Spain in 2012. Miss me with that, these are players that went to the NBA, Americans mocked them for being bad, they couldn't get into the starting 5, their stats were bad and then they came back to Europe. Those are the players that almost beat the team USA in 2008 and 2012, those kinds of players are the ones that played for Serbia and Montenegro in 2002 who beat team US in 2002, that played for Greece in 2006 and for Argentina in 2004 (Serbia beat USA in 2002, Argentina beat USA in 2004, Greece beat USA in 2006). Over and over again players that the NBA sends back as "not good enough" cook the best players in the NBA in FIBA games. Also, Serbian NBA players are: Nikola Jokić, Bogdan Bogdanović, Vasilije Micić and Nikola Jović. That's arguably better than the Spanish ones from the late 2000s and 2010s. Serbia also didn't invite 2 of its NBA players (Pokuševski and Tristan Vukčević) because they viewed their Eurolegue players as BETTER than them (at least better under FIBA rules and better fitting in the team).

Why are these three focusing on Magic and Bird? You had Malone, Robinson, Malone and Barkley as your muscular posts who play at the rim. You had Stockton, Drexler and Mullin as your physical guards. Stockton was sneaky physical and in his younger age.

Well first off Magic & Bird are 2 of the best 3 players historically on that team ... thats why Bahaha guess u forgot Stockton was literally playing through a broken fibula & was a shell of himself (look it up) 🤦🏼‍♂️😂 It would be like- - Lebron being retired for a year & a shell of himself like Magic (instead of being arguably the best player on the team..... hes avging al.ost as many assists as he is shots while shooting the best FG% on the team 😂) - KDs back being so bad he could barely run & barely play like Bird (instead of him being arguably the 2nd best on the team) - & Holiday having a broken leg barely playing (when he's been a key piece) Yes if ALL the Dream Team were in their primes & healthy it woukd be an actual debate..... but 2 of the best 3 on the team were shells of themselves & Stockton was on 1 leg

Sure one could argue the individual top to bottom today's player is more athletic but a group playing well as a team could still beat someone with more athletic players. Also don't forget that 92 team actually played defense. Other than Dru Holiday not sure anyone on this team can play defense for 40 minutes. Everyone talks about how Bird was a shell of himself so what they had several other players that could have matched up just fine against this team. @@jessekittrell2946 This is not hard to analyze. Just look at the actual games '24 has played this year and try to imagine results against the dream team. S. Sudan has kept '24 USA around 100pts each time they played. Is the '92 equal better or worse on defense than '24 S. Sudan? If you're gonna argue it's close, then you're really arguing that G-league players are as good on defense as all-time, DPOY defenders. Is '92 equal/better/worse than '24 Australia on offense? '24 Australia scored 92 on the '24 USA team. The '92 dream team averaged, by FAR, the most of any USA team in history. I'll just say this ... that 1992 team was SO good even with an injured Bird, a retired Magic and a limping Stockton that they were able to destroy the competition AND take along a waste of space like Christian Laettner for the ride. You also have to remember that the 1992 Dream Team was an advertising roster. They did not take the best team, they took the team that would draw in the most viewers.. If they had, the roster would have been: Jordan, Malone, Wilkins, Ewing, Barkley, Robinson and Pippen. To replace Bird, Magic, Stockton, Mullen and Laettner - Shaquille O'Neal, Joe Dumars, Reggie Miller, Reggie Lewis and Mark Jackson. Admittedly, the team is short on actual point guards other than Jackson. But Dumars, Pippen, Jordan, Miller and Lewis could do the job when needed. That team would have been better, but would it have brought the awe added by having Magic, Bird, Mullen and Stockton? ... Maybe not.

IDC if its prime Mike, prime Bron, prime Shaq, prime Kareem, prime any great leading a team of role players against the USA's best on one team. The US should demolish them. The Boston Celtics can be the best team in the world right now, but that doesn’t give them the title of World Champs. The same way that Noah Lyles right now is an Olympic Gold Medalist, he won that title although the guy he beat ran a faster time this year in another competition than Noah’s all time personal best. So the Jamaican guy might be the world’s fastest right now, but that doesn’t make him an Olympic Gold Medalist.

Booker is already half way to 30,000 points and he's only 27 (and you really only need 25,000 points to be a lock, he'll easily get that). Bam already has enough credentials, but probably needs 4-5 more similar years and he's easily in. Only White and Haliburton are less likely and even so, White could end up having a Ginobili-type of career and get in and Haliburton's upside can get him there, too, if he can stay healthy.

24 Team would give The Dream Team the works. Non of them could guard and of these SF, PF, SG, or PGs and they can't out shoot them either. The bigs won't be able to stay in the paint because all 24 players' would hover around the 3pt line, so easy 3s or easy drive to the rim. The Dream Team would have an advantage in the post, but as you can see in today's NBA, teams that hit more 3s usually wins and that's what the 24 Team would do.

Jokic needs a repeat of Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals when he absolutely smoked Gobert like nobody has ever been smoked before to have a chance. Its remarkable Serbia played US even in the Exhibition game when Jokic was in the game. Against this US team. It will be a All Time upset and then the discussion is officially over. 92 Dream Team would suffocate this current team defensively. Nothing against the current stars but it's not just about talent. Brou was right with his comment about team play, but even beyond that it's the mentality of those former players. They took every game personally. Every single time they stepped on the floor they wanted to not only beat you, but embarrass you. Jordan gets credited with most of that, but all those guys were insanely competitive.

In addition, he defeated the entire Sacramento Kings team in a shooting contest, while making 14 out of 15 three-pointers with the new, almost perfectly round, computer-made basketballs. @@jessekittrell2946 Bird with a bad back, was ten times better than LeFraud. You know nothing. Basketball was a man’s sport, where you could be aggressively physical to an opponent. Like to see Lefraud go against the likes of Laimbeer, Mahorn, Maurice Lukas. LeFraud would be a bench player in the 80’s or 90’s. Reason players didn’t play 20 years like Lefraud is it was tough.
