Agree 100 percent. So glad I bought a Tacoma 4 yrs ago. Been a great truck, no issues and still worth almost as much as what I got it for. I like the simplicity. No 4 cyl turbo for me lol.

Yupp, the new Tacoma cost as much as a tundra. The old Tacomas don't depreciate unless they have 500k miles. It's almost impossible to buy them used.

Right there with you on the “old school” value of this vehicle. I picked up one identical to yours on 5/11/24. The plan is to keep this one because of what it is. Like the FJ CRUISER, these should hold their value. It’s not the latest in technology and so on, but it is one of the best in reliability out there today. I am retired and drive for Toyota part time and have driven the Crown and Grand Highlander which you have and those are VERY nice, but I am in agreement with you in that the 4Runner is more durable than anything else. I absolutely love my ‘24 TRD Pro in Terra.

Yupp, exactly the reasons I got it. There are a lot of people who value simplicity, and these trucks are the last of their kind. Yes, it's slow as mollasess. Yes, fuel economy is garbage, but it will keep running and running and running.

It definitely looks a whole lot better in person than in photos/videos. Very hard color to capture accurately on camera.

Its not for speed its to play in wild and take you places those german cars cant. If i feel the need for speed i got a motorcycle for that. But this truck my friend is a legend.

Hey Al!!! Congratulations on the new truck…….first, I love the color!!!!! Second, I’ve read in numerous places that the 4Runner is ranked #1 in vehicle that hold there value…..plus it’s a Toyota…..

Thanks Joe, I did my research and indeed they hardly depreciate. The only issue is that the truck is dangerously slow and gas mileage is absolutely horrendous.

No, they redesigned the 4runner for 2025. New models should start hitting the lots late 24, beginning of 25. However, the new 6th gen 4runner will be only offered with a 4 cylinder 😮‍💨

Bought a new 2024 4Runner Limited last week. I did look at used... and the best deal I could find was a 2019, 70k miles, $37k. Screw.. get new and you can trade out of it later on with not much depreciation, or just keep it and it goes for years.

Exactly, used ones made 0 sense. They simply don't depreciate.

Well, Tupperware looks amazing then. This color will be the one people will try to get the most of in the end. This color will be a legend in another 10 years.
