@TheKasiGearhead which brand today doesn't have their faults?..... by no means am I saying Toyota is perfect. I own a Toyota and a Mercedes and it also depends on how it is maintained etc. But I just feel all these new brands are simply getting away by their fancy interiors. No harm in the comment. It's just that in resale as well. Compare them in relation to the newer brands which seem appealing until give it 6 years and it needs to be sold or heavily maintained.. All the best.

Enjoy your car, after I bought Haval i had a lot of complains because it had just launched.. Today I'm still driving it 6 years later.. Their VW's are already traded in.... If you love it take good care of it and live with it.. As for me, I won't buy a bmw even if it's new...

Yoh I have a 2017 2.8GD-6, that thing pulls like no one's business. It delivers power instantly, averages much less than this onat around 7.8.....I see kwi interior everything looks the same That thing just hit 300k kms and still drives like a dream. What a car

I agree with you on this. I think with big cars, getting a smaller engine with the intention to save on fuel as per claimed averages is a scam people shouldn’t fall for. I drive a 2021 2.8GD-6 Legend. I average same - 7.8l/100 in normal daily city driving and sometimes lower on highways if I’m not cooking. Worst I’ve gotten is 10.3l/100 but there I’ll be cooking inyama yenhloko 😅. Nonetheless, regardless of the mode/style of driving, I average less than these averages Muzi is reporting. Great video by Muzi and I like the spirit of contribution to such conversations. Merry Xmas

Monthly rentals aren't too bad. 4 months back I wanted to buy a GTI, I rented a golf 8 and drove it for 2 weeks. After that 2 weeks I went to buy a Golf 7 gti😂it's very great for a short term as you've said. I own a 7 GTI now

I remember my 1.2 tsi polo had a coil problem and it was averaging 8.0 litres, I wanted to cry. I fixed it, now it's at 5.5L. So I can't imagine living with 9.5L average 😭😭😭

I travel a lot with my job and they always rent the group that always gives us that car. I am not into cars like that but i always prefer something else besides that, great car but i am also disturbed by the noise it makes in Eco. Avis once gave me a Haval H6 and i enjoyed it, one of the best cars I've driven.

Nice review again Muzi, thanks also for the rental advice, that makes real good sense to all car buyers as even car dealerships don't easily offer you a test drive anymore. Renting for the month gives a true sense of ownership and you can change your mind with the rental, buying there is no changes for atleast 3 - 4 years

Thanks for the review Muzi. Very informative as always. I’ve driven quite a few cars and currently the Toyota fortuner 4.0 V6. I can tell you now, it’s the best thing to drive. Comfy, quiet rides, very powerful and handles off roads like a boss. I think from here I’ll have to try Land Cruiser and the likes to do justice. Anything else would be a downgrade from this engine.

For an efficient fuel economy this is how you should set your modes: For gravel, convoy and slow driving you should select eco. For highway and less traffic roads and normal overtaking, you select normal. Then only for quick overtaking, towing and a very uphill during that’s when you select power mode. You can thank me later 🫡

Small engine displacements suffer from thermal efficiency(inefficiency) and lack of longevity. To make same power as the large displacement engine, they require higher boost and sometimes some timing advancement and all of this stresses the internal parts of the engine and increases the in cylinder temperatures this makes an engine not to last as long.

Yeah on econoboxes but high performance 4 cylinder 2.0l engines which are replacing higher displacements and higher cylinders are very taught when taken care of. I had a Renault Clio IV R.S with a boosted 1.6l Nismo powerplant at 234K km that still drove since 2014 till I let it go in 2023.

Thanks for the review. I own a 2020 2.4GD6 and i agree on the under-powered engine, its frustrating especialy when overtaking. I have realised that this SUV is entry level and will not drive like the 2.8 or a sports car. My wife uses it most of the time for school runs and town driving, which i think is adequate. However, im looking to trade it in for the Mu-X 3.0, but thinking twice due to resale value of the Isuzu. My other option would be to trade in for the 2.8, but the bouncy ride is the same....what a dillema
