​​@@Benscarreviewsno problem, thanks for posting! I currently own a 2022 base manual in neptune blue. I love it, but I didn't see a reason to buy the premium over the base before. One thing that called me to the trueno was the rumor it has better throttle response than 2022-23. Do you know any other details about the exhaust, fuel map, throttle response, etc for the 2024 models? Information has been incredibly limited and inaccurate thus far, and they even talk about the standard lsd as an "upgrade" specific for the higher trim levels. I'm sorry if I'm rambling here. But I'm curious what other changes they've made, if any.

@@Dubtee I read through all information from Toyota but didn’t read anything specific about better throttle response. I can certainly see the 2024 being better tuned compared to previous years and maybe that’s where rumors are stemming from. Exhaust will be a catback system. But in terms of the power plant and its outputs, I haven’t seen writing from Toyota indicating it’s quicker on the Trueno. I hope that may help

First of all, I have not seen any tests done in which the same professional race driver drove both cars around a track on the same day and on the same tires to determine which had the faster lap times. And secondly why would you care which one is slightly faster around a track. After all there are at least 100 cars out there that are probably faster than the GR86. The GR86 is a car you buy because it fun to drive not because it’s the fastest car out there. Furthermore, the maximum achievable lap time obtainable with a GR86 is irrelevant since you will likely never be skilled enough to get anywhere near that time. For example, a top professional racecar driver driving a Toyota Corolla is going to lap you in your GR86 every time. And if you switch cars with him he will still lap you. Having a car be slightly better around a track than the other guys is only important in professional racing in which the best are competing against the best. But when a bunch of yahoos take their street cars out for a track day the differences in skill levels from one driver to the next is so profound that it far outweighs any slight differences in the cars. So just concentrate on the getting the car that you find the most fun to drive.

@@tboneslaydog3316 - LOL! Dude! Are you seriously so thick headed that you don’t realize that what you said does not make the GR86 look bad but rather makes new Prius look really great. And I have to admit that this actually made me chuckle a bit as I’m sure you are about the last guy on the planet who would want to be caught heaping praise upon a Prius. After all, your hillbilly kinfolk would probably tar and feather you for that. Of course, the new Prius does not really need any praise from you in any case because it is already getting glowing reviews from pretty much everyone out there who reviews cars including Car and Driver magazine. That being said, the standard FWD 2024 Prius is actually not faster from zero to 60 than the GR86 nor is it faster around the track. Its acceleration in fact is about a half second slower than the automatic GR86 while the manual GR86 (the only one most enthusiasts would consider) is at least 1.5 seconds faster. But then again, as I have already mentioned before, people buy the GR86 because it's fun in the corners and not because they can beat a lot of other cars in a drag race. So basically, complaining that the GR86 is slower than some other car is kind of like complaining that a screwdriver does not drive in nails as well as a hammer does. People don’t buy screwdrivers to drive nails and they don’t buy a GR86 to win drag races or even to be the fastest car around the track.

The special edition one is definitely tacky. I would go with Premium in a manual trans. Red would definitely be a hit.

My mileage is better than listed My car has been averaging 26-27 MPG . It is the way these cars are geared , just like the Miata.
