This ute is based of the outgoing hilux 8th gen. Toyota couldn't make a hard core that could 100% fight the Raptor, as they are working on the Incoming gen. Expect change in power and performance, different gear speeds in the 9th gen.

Many people compare this Toyota GR Sport with the current 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor. They are wrong. This Toyota GR Sport should be compared to the out gone 2022 Ford Ranger Raptor.

Compared to other bakkies like Ford Ranger ( Raptor), in this Toyota Hilux GR Sport you are buying an expensive old new car with old technology, old engine. Toyota is going to launch a new Toyota Hilux early next year or late next year with new platform new technology and new engines with hybrid technology. I suggest we wait and be patient.

bigger coz of fenders only. I've spent $$$ to replace the stock KYB shocks as it is very uncomfortable thinking you spent more money for an upgrade than getting a regular Hilux. totally scammed by reliability and new face but the interior is still from the 90s. lol

Im a Hilux driver 2 Fortuners, 2 Toyota Hilux’s vurrently the 4x4 RS. But sadly the Tech is just shocking in 2024 for a car over 1 Bar its just a waste. The problem is i love Toyota but at the end will move along eventually

You are very right. This Toyota Hilux GR Sport should be compared with the 2021/2 Ford Ranger Raptor SE not the current 2023/24 Ford Ranger Raptor. The latter has new technology, new platform, new powerful engine whereas the Toyota is just a facelift with old technology same platform and same 2.8 diesel engine.
