The 2024 Prius is proof that Toyota is not playing anymore! The all new Prius is a win all the way around. The vehicle has legitimate driving dynamics that cannot be denied no matter how much one may “hate” it. Quick/sharp steering, AWD, and 196 horsepower with instant torque make the 2024 Prius an actual pleasure to drive! Toyota is onto something good with this current formula and they’ve managed to make a Prius that anyone could enjoy! Everything about the vehicle from its design to its vastly improved technology signifies that not only is the Prius still at the top of the Hybrid food chain, but it deserves to be there and ain’t going anywhere anytime soon!

Our 2024 Prime has 220 horsepower and will deliver 0~60 in under 7 seconds. Toyota says the computer can be programmed to offer in excess of 300 hp, imagine that............. Yet, on battery power alone we can get over 80km range before switching (automatically), to HV mode. This is the way to go until full EV's are a viable option for everyone. Got ours a two weeks ago (waited 21 months !), and, have not put any gas in it to date. Oh, by the way, gas here costs $7.00 a UA gallon.

I'm with you. The car is cool. I hated Prius' and then a week ago I discovered the new Prius online and within 48 hrs. I had a Limited in my garage. I absolutely love everything about it!!!

That’s what I’m talking about! I can always appreciate someone who isn’t so closed minded and allowing something that they didn’t like at first turn into something they love. I was an avid Prius hater, but now…they’re legitimately cool, fun to drive cars. Can’t hate that.

Questions: 1. Are the ride and handling and seating suitable for long touring? 2. I'm 5'-5". What are your thoughts on occasionally car camping in the Prius. Doable?
@HKN_RealReviews4 ай бұрын
The ride is excellent. Of course with wider tires it would be better, but for the stock set up, it is great. The handling is surprisingly good. Very quick, direct steering all be it with very little feedback. The seating position is also great. The problem is no matter your height, most complain about the dash display being blocked by the steering wheel. I don’t find it too annoying but it is something you’ll definitely notice. I’ve never camped in a car but I’m sure with the seats folded, it will be fine for somebody our height.

@HKN_RealReviews Thank you for the quick reply. I'm retiring soon, and today's gas prices have me thinking about retiring my Charger R/T. I'd like to do some long trips and possibly take naps in between destinations.

@@skybluemarshall I say add to your fleet with the Prius. I couldn’t, in all good conscience, encourage you to get rid of any V8. They have become a commodity in todays eco friendly, government regulated world. If you can, have both. Gotta have a little balance you know!
@skybluemarshall4 ай бұрын
That makes sense. Mine is a 2013 R/T Plus with about 140K miles on it. I've only had a few very minor problems with it. When a car runs great and has never broken down, it seems like a shame to part it just the get something newer. I was just talking to the guys at work about newer cars. They all own much newer vehicles than mine. I made a joke about not wanting to give up my heated and cooled cup holders. Everyone in the meeting was very surprised that my car has this feature. That started a whole new conversation between about 10 people. They were saying, why the hell does an 11 year old car have a feature which every guy the room said they liked, but not one of their newer cars with higher trim levels had it? I told them that they only wanted it, because they didn't know they could have it. 😄
@HKN_RealReviews4 ай бұрын
@@skybluemarshall it’s little things like those cup holders that make that generation of Charger special. The 5 Speed auto sourced from Mercedes is bulletproof and it shares some E Class chassis bits too which attributes to the excellent ride and near perfect weight distribution. Very solid car! So you’re gonna keep it, right?? 👀

It sucks about the skinny tires. But the rest of the car is fantastic.

Like your enthusiasm. My red 2024 LTD AWD is loaded but they can’t deliver it until some recall issue is fixed. I loved my 2010 and 2014 Prius. They were both loaded too but this one is really tricked out! I considered the Prime but I don’t believe heated rear seats are an option.
@TomLawlor-iq6gm4 ай бұрын
Hi S, You can have a Prime with heated rear seats in the higher trim levels. For us, that option would be very, very rare used. Saved the money. Like yourself, this is our third Prius. Love how it streams along in EV mode but, with zero, ZERO, range anxiety. It is the answer for now.

This is your second comment on this video with the same exact sentiment. As I’ve already stated, MY store is not charging a dime over sticker and we never have. Please stop spreading false information just because the dealerships near YOU are price gouging.

i just checked. The markup price is still insanely high. No way I am gonna buy any Toyota unless Toyota controls their greedy dealers to a reasonable price. Toyota dealers are probably the greediest dealers now. I searched around my area and still can't find any Toyota sell around MSRP.

As per your opinion should I get with this 2024 Prius or 2025 Honda Civic hybrid?
@HKN_RealReviewsАй бұрын
@@JolobRobot That’s a tough one man. The Prius is a more interesting car to look at. That could be a good or bad thing depending on who you ask. I think it looks pretty nice. The Prius can also be had with all wheel drive so if that’s important to you, you know which one to choose. I think the new Civic Hybrid is very nice and it does offer just a bit more power. The Prius can also be had as a plug in. If you like the idea of using zero gas and plan on using the vehicle as an EV most of the time, then the point also goes to the Prius. In my opinion the interior of the Prius is nicer too with things like an available panoramic roof, power lift gate, heated and cooled seats and a much bigger and clearer infotainment screen. Again, tough choice as both are great. But I never thought I’d say this, I’d probably go for the Prius. 😬

@@HKN_RealReviews Thanks for prompt reply in your opinion which hybrid engine will be more reliable for long time?
@HKN_RealReviewsАй бұрын
@@JolobRobot well, the Prius has been in production for over 2 decades so they’ve had plenty of practice and seem to have a great formula. We service old Prius’ with 350,000+ miles all the time and for simple maintenance. The Civic had a Hybrid before but Honda was never consistent with their Hybrid production until recently with the current and previous generation Accord. With that said, they can both probably run very comfortably past 200K miles but the Prius just has a longer running and more proven track record.
