I just bought the 2024 tacoma trail hunter in underground color mine came with roof rack it's a beast so much torque it's beast it's sounds better then the TRD pro the only thing probably not many people will buy it's so much money i love trail hunter but very expensive

Absolutely the new 4 runner and this is a TRAILHUNTER Is a excellent vehicle has well. Overall home run for Toyota ❤️. Combined with the new land cruiser Toyota has killer ultra rugged suv line up. However this is not the trim level most going to buy anyway. Can't wait until the normal haters and cry baby hardcore enthusiast whining about a low volume Trim level LOL. Excellent video Kirk

I don’t get it who’s crying?? The only way anyone will be able to buy a car with this trim or even the lower trims will have to be in big debt. Unless you really need this vehicle for your livelihood, I don’t see any reason to purchase one why not just get a 2025 Camry LE for 28 out the door and call it a day. And yes, dealerships here in Southern California you can absolutely find 10% off MSRP on the new Camrys

The prices just don’t make sense to me. There is so much parts sharing between their midsize TNGA-F vehicles that it doesn’t seem like it’s being passed down to customers. It’ll be interesting to see how the sales divide between the LC and 4R since they’re in the same category and not too far off in price.

Kirk, Is it possible the back seat is even more cramped than the new 4Runner? At this price level, a full size truck is the obvious choice. Having said that, the Tacoma Trailhunter has to be categorized as a luxury item. While common sense concerns like an undersized second row and tiny bed are irrelevant, the lack of full-time 4WD is a serious shortcoming.

I’d guess the 4R backseat is probably going to be equal or maybe smaller since the wheelbase is shorter. To me the 4R proportions are odd. The hood looks almost as long as the wheelbase.

@ I’m just going off pictures also. Hopefully it’s better in person. One thing that kinda bugs me is how similar the Tundra and Tacoma look. I have to look pretty close when driving by the dealer with them sitting next to each other. Hopefully the 4Runner is a bit different in person.

Unless Toyota backed this four-cylinder turbo with a 200,000 mile warranty, I wouldn’t trust it. But since that’s not gonna happen, we will just have to wait a couple of years to see how this engine holds up.

Can’t deal with the engine shutting off at stop lights. If there is no way to shut it off I’ll keep my 2000 Tundra with the smooth very reliable v8 which isn’t even broken in yet at 160k miles!

The biggest bright spot in the 2025 four runners are that they are still made in Japan. I don’t know how much that means anymore. Regardless the cheap plastics they’re using in the SR5 is just ridiculous because the car is still in the 40s. Price wise

If you’re the 1% out there that will take this offroad I’d switch out to a cheaper wheel and a size smaller wheel for a taller sidewalk. Switch out original wheel and tire set in storage for resale or trade in of the truck. 99% of owners won’t keep it for more than 4 to 5 years. Those city glamping drivers are also more likely to curb them in the Starbucks drive thru so would also switch them out too.

New turbo I4 and hybrid turbo I4 are perfectly fine engines without any issues. Its already used in multiple different Lexus/Toyota vehicles. Specialy the non hybrid turbo I4 for years now. So stop this unnecessary drama!.

Not saying that’s what’s being paid out in a lot of states but still that just represents how neglected the working class is. Agree. The chief engineer said that it was imperative that the size didn’t change because customers demanded that the truck fit in a standard size garage from homes built in the 1960’s. I agree with you. They should’ve made the cab 12 inches longer and put that space in the back.

Most people can't afford having a daily driver AND a cheap pickup for work purposes so for those wanting just 1 vehicle to work AND daily drive, they'd probably like the usefulness of pickup with the nicer features for a daily driver. that's where the luxury features become attractive
