Definitely worth the price. The interior room and riding comfort, the much improved crawl control, the 360 degree camera system, heated and cooled seats and heated steering wheel, the coil suspension with Bilstine shocks w/ reservoir, grab handles galore, better 0-60 time and shorter braking distance, digital multi setup gauge cluster, etc, etc. Much better truck costs much more money.

I have the TRD off road premium with a few more options. It was my 3rd Tacoma and wanted to go all out but didn’t want the hybrid models. I absolutely love it and have had it for three months now! We also have a 2023 off road.

We still have a 2012 TDR off road with the v6 engine. A bit of cabin noise but been a great truck. Zero issues. Back when prices were reasonable.

Just got one over the weekend. Same as that one but with a few more options. I had a 2nd gen before and I’m very happy with it. I love the cooled seats, the 360 cameras and the new drive train feels like a huge upgrade.

The Nissan is cheaper but doesn’t have near the electronic tech, is slower and rides rougher and doesn’t have the great looks as the Tacoma TRD Off Road. No option for front sway bar disconnect. The cameras on the Nissan are poor. It just isn’t in the same class as the new Toyota. If you can’t afford the Toyota then the Nissan isn’t too bad. I do however like the skid plates better on the Nissan and it has more towing and hauling capacity.

Like it or not, we are stuck with this truck for the next few years. Waited 2 years for this to arrive; now I wouldn't touch it even at zero percent financing and $5000 manufacturer rebates. Looks worse in person and I just can't tolerate the sound of that 4 cyl. My old Tacoma 4cyl 4x4 was better than this new one.

All the poors in here bitching about 50k. I bought my 24 off-road premium for 51k with a lift and 33” tires.. all cars are expensive now.. It’s the world we live in. This is my daily that will go to my kid in 2 years when he turns 16. Till then it’ll sit between a couple of Shelby mustangs and a 24 BMW X6M in the garage. I’ve never met a more strange bunch of car people than Toyota drivers.

At 2:21 you can clearly see that the tailgate if off-centered. There's a bigger gap on the left than the right. A major known QC issue on many tacos. Thanks but no thanks, toyota.

TY for the review but hard pass. Tacoma build quality is abysmal at the moment. Visibility is terrible past the oversized info screen and high dash/hood. Way too plasticly and wayyyy too over priced for what you get. I drove all of the competitors and based on your other reviews? I went with a new GMC Canyon AT4X. Love it. I have had previous gen Tacomas as well, but would never spend my money on this.

HERE'S THE FACTS: Toyota has dropped everything including the ball!! More parts with Turbo, More heat and More stress. The Trucks will finally depreciate! I have owned 3 Tacoma's in the last 3 years and have made 7,000 dollars after tax selling Those days are gone. What about the engine bay *looks like a hot mess" no organization. The rear window is sad! getting rid of the hand brake was also a mistake. The front valance is stupid. The COST IS INSANE!! The truck is made in Mexico and your not paying workers like in Texas so why the price increase. Nissan is the direction I am going from now on!! SAD DAY!!
