I got mine factory ordered with the yellow seatbelts. Definitely don't see many dealers having them equipped despite being a 50 dollar option. Definitely adds more color to the interior when you do get them though.

As long as 17 mpgs is the colorados best, I'll not be buying one,especially since the raptor gets 23 with a much more powerful twin turbo v6

That's a pretty decent value once you factor in all the offroad goodies (twin locking diffs, suspension upgrade, tires/lift, side rail protection etc). My only gripe is it's too bad it's a turbo 4 engine. Yes it'll last through the warranty period probably, but not long term with repeated offroad abuse over the decades. A small v8 would be nice but we know due to regs that won't happen. I guess you can't have it all!

My brother has a raptor. It’s been in the shop twice in the last four months. A couple times he had to wait two weeks for the parts to come in Ford is drowning and recalls and building garbage these days. Go ahead and buy one suckers.

I know it's absolutely crazy when I had my F-150. Whenever I would go to the dealership they were always so behind because of recalls. It was crazy.

Chevy built this four-cylinder turbo using the specs of a diesel. It has a forged bottom and it has been tested relentlessly. It’s been on the Silverado for six years without any problems. I had the same phobia but times have changed.

I owned a 2019 Colorado ZR2 V6 it was a great truck, but in 23/24 when Chevy, Toyota, and Ford started coming out with the new updated mid-size 4x4 trucks I started looking. Narrowed it down to a new 2024 Colorado ZR2 or a new 2024 Ranger Raptor, the new Tacoma's did nothing for me. The first thing I did was call my auto/truck insurance provider to get a quote on how much more my truck ins would go up a year (note: I hate insurance Companys). Was kind of surprised to find out that both trucks 24 Colorado ZR2 and 24 Ranger Raptor would raise my truck ins bill $600 dollars more a year. This struck me as strange being as the Colorado ZR2 was less money to buy then the RR and it had almost 100 less horsepower. I know that $600 dollars more a year is not that big of a deal but still strange. Next, I went and test drove a new 24 Colorado ZR2 it definitely felt a little bit quicker and faster than my 2019 Colorado ZR2 V6 but nothing earth shattering that's for sure. Also to be honest I liked the black leather interior with the ZR2 logo stitched into the front seat headrests way better on my 2019 ZR2 than the all light grey interior with light yellow stitching on the 24 ZR2. So, after the test drive, I decided to sit down with the Chevy dealership salesman to talk price. Immediately they start their little game, and he tells me that they are going to charge me 3k more for BS dealership fees and special protective coating on the exterior paint and interior seats, and that the 3k fee is not negotiable at their dealership. Also, I had already showed the salesman a paper copy that I got from Carmax saying that they would give me 35k to buy my 2019 ZR2 from me, and initially the Chevy salesman said I think we can match that. Next more dealership games after the salesman talks to the guy who runs their used car department and also the dealership sales manager he comes back and tells me unfortunately we can only give you 30k for your ZR2 because we need to put new tires and new brakes on it, (note: my ZR2 was in mint condition with only 14k miles on it), WTF???. Then I got up and said let me think about this for a couple days and I will get back to you and I walked out. A couple days later I went, and test drove a new 24 Ranger Raptor. During the RR test drive getting on to the freeway (real long straight on ramp with no traffic) I asked the salesman (totally a cool guy) sitting in the passenger seat do you mind if I lay into the accelerator pedal and let it run out for several seconds he said go ahead. Honestly right after I floored it and those twin turbos kicked in on that 405hp V6 my eyes got as big as silver dollars and an ear-to-ear smile on my face, and I told the salesman Holy **** this thing is quick and fast for a gas burning mid-size 4x4 truck. I knew right then I was buying it that day. I have owned my RR for almost 6 months now no regrets, Awesome Truck, so much fun to drive, love it. Really all the new mid-size 4x4 trucks are good trucks and they all have their Pros and Cons, you just have to go for the one that you like best, and it works best for your needs.✌

17 mpg is all it gets, why not get the 1500 zr2 6.2 it gets 15 mpg? For 2 mpg it’s not worth the weak 4 cylinder.

You hit the gas pedal with the rpm,s up over 3,000 rpm,s and it's not going anywhere. You barely got to 18mph. I only owned one car with a turbo. It had over a hundred thousand miles on it when I traded it. No issues with regular maintenance. I can think of 5 or 6 failures off the top of my head between myself and family with naturally aspirated engines. There are bad apples on every tree. Also. You called out GM specifically. Only midsize not pushing the 4-cylinder turbo is Nissan.
