Thanks for this, most professional. I adore my 2024 RS (in Red (much nicer :-) )), but the only part that feels unfinished like a Yamaha is this bit. I had the full fairing thingy on my 2016 model and don't really want the same on this. I have seen a little carbon filler on FB group that hides the back of the dash but keeps the shape of the little standard oojamaflip. But it's nearly £100 I think.

Hey. That looks cool. I want to get that screen and visor too. Do you know if the visor comes in different tints, like light smoke and dark smoke? When I check the accessories web page the visor seems very light tinted or almost clear, but your seems to be dark smoke which looks much better... Is it just poor photos, or are there different tints? Thanks.

Yeah its kind of weird, everywhere I have looked, even Triumph direct the photos show the screen as clear, but when you buy it it will look smoked like mine. Hey man I have a question, in the 2022 model, can you remove the fly screen and install the smaller piece you have .
@FifthNorth9 ай бұрын
I honestly have no idea, I have never owned or worked on a 2022 model. If I had to guess I would say no, since the small part first appeared on the 2024 models, so I would be surprised if models before that had mounting points for it
@matthew56848 ай бұрын
it looks like if i byy the flyscreen first and see how I like it, I wouldnt have to take it all off again to add the visor later - it would just be an easy pop on. is that true?
@FifthNorth8 ай бұрын
No you would have to take it off to install the visor later, I guess technically if you had the right tools and small hands you could take the flyscreen about halfway off instead of all the way, and then do the install but you would run the risk of breaking/scratching something.

Im not 100% sure as I havent done the install on the R, but my understanding is that the install itself is 100% the same, whats different is how you take off the factory piece before you start the instal (your owners manual can explain that part).

How big of a difference does it make?
@FifthNorth11 ай бұрын
Is there a difference? Yes, is it massive? No. If you are expecting full sport bike fairing amount of difference you will be disappointed. If you have realistic expectations of getting a slight difference in wind and great protection for your dash for under $300 you will be happy. Hope that makes sense.

@@FifthNorth Thanks dude. My first bike after 50 years is a Ninja 500. Perfect for me, but the wind becomes an issue pretty quick, like at 40mph. I really want a Triple 675 but I'm thinking the wind is going to be as bad or worse. You think?
@FifthNorth11 ай бұрын
@@jonobester5817 from as far back as I can remember Ninja 500s have a full fairing right? So I would have to assume that the wind on any model Triple would be worse as it is a Sport Naked VS a Sport bike. As far as my street triple goes, I ride comfortably up to about 60mph, after that is when the wind starts to annoy me. With that said, I haven't yet had a chance to do any freeway riding with the new kit installed (have only been able to get up to about 55/60) so I can't say for sure if above 60mph is any better now with the kit.
@jonobester581711 ай бұрын
@@FifthNorth I call my Ninja 500 a poor man's sport bike. I don't have to worry about doing any accidental wheelies. But I would hesitate to call it a full fairing. I don't know, Maybe it is. In any case, the riding posture is way more upright than a real sportbike.
@FifthNorth11 ай бұрын
@@jonobester5817 I can understand all of your points, but even still I would say from most Ninjas that I have seen that front "fairing" and windscreen look taller than what I have now that the Fly Screen kit is installed so I would have to assume that it offers more wind protection, but to your point riding position does make a difference and so does the position of said screens....I guess long answer short is, I would assume that your Ninja has better wind protection because of the size of the windscreen/panel but no real way of knowing until you ride both and see how it feels to your size of body and riding position.
