One thing that drives me crazy on newer cars (not just Hyundai, a lot of companies do it) is adding an LED package but leaving some lights as traditional incandescent bulbs.

Does anyone think the rear indicators on the Tucson are too low down? Would they not be more visible if integrated with the stop lights making them more obvious to following road users! Beautiful car otherwise and great review as always.
@doolanbrianАй бұрын
Thanks for watching Michael, it’s a common comment on the Internet, but we never seem to get anyone talking about it when they visit the show room, people used to make the same comment on land cruiser back in 2003 when we used to see them brand-new🙂 thanks for watching Michael.

Frustrates the hell out of me tbh. Can see no reason why they couldn’t be fitted in the rear light cluster area. On one of the owners groups, a guy in the States modded his so they were up there but the issue was whether it invalidated his warranty.
@michaelforristal522428 күн бұрын
@@davel9359especially when they moved the front indicators on this 2025 model. The other issue with the rear indicators is the amount of dirt that gathers on the rear bumper obscuring the light lenses. In fairness Brian does a great job with his online reviews but I think Hyundai have missed the whole safety issue with low down indicators.
@davel935928 күн бұрын
@@michaelforristal5224exactly that. In heavy traffic, whilst people shouldn’t drive too close to you, I think they’re obscure, particularly difficult for an HGV driver to see. These facelift ones look even lower to me but that’s probably an optical illusion.

Thanks Brian for an excellent presentation. I am considering updating my 22 Tucson Executive to 24 version. I'm a little disappointed that the 24 model still has no LED Booth bar. No LED headlights and finally the very low positioning of indicators is giving me a reason to pause in my decision

@grashoАй бұрын
Great video, thank you very much. I've been waiting so long for more details on the facelift. I have few questions, if you are able to answer them: 1. Is it true that on the facelift the rear doors have soft-touch material instead of just plastic like on the old model? 2. Is the size of the arm-rest storage the same? Would it be possible to re-use my storage tray for the facelift? 3. For HEV/PHEV I have saw in an unpublished tech. specs that there is now a PTC heater that helps warming the cabin without using the ICE? Can you confirm that and add more details? 4. I saw on a video from Romania that there was something new below the foam in the trunk, there is a hole and something looking like a fan. I am not sure if it's only for hybrids or for the top-line models, but could you check for that also? 5. Again, for PHEV - in a Czech user manual there is a mention about a Li-po 12V battery (explicitly for PHEV). I know that the old model uses a standard 12V car battery. Could you check if there are differences in that regard? Sorry for so many questions and thank you in advance in case you are able and have time to address some of them.
@doolanbrianАй бұрын
Thanks for watching ! Questions 1 and 2 I can examine visually tomorrow when we open , questions 3/4/5 I may not be able to address unless we have been sent and update from the manufacturer but so far we have no training available !!
@grashoАй бұрын
@@doolanbrian Thanks. I believe 4 and 5 can be examined if you have a PHEV available and visually check under the foam.

Ok Q1 facelift has different material on rear door , there is a small edge, where the plastic seems softer but nothing significant Q2 arm rest storage is shorter from front to rear but wider than the previous model .. the depth is similar .. but yes dimensions differ
@doolanbrian25 күн бұрын
Ok question 3 ... i dont have training on so i cant answer it... question 4 appears to be an ADAS parking ECU with a fan but only on PHEV.. again i have no training on this so i cant elaborate unfortunately and question 5 , i checked the part numbers between a new one and a 2021 PHEV and they still show the same part numbers so i cant elaborate there.

nice comparison, only you did it with 2 different versions. For example, the older version you showed does not have a 360° camera(mine has it), it was present in the highest version. Same for blind spot cameras. The doors now seem less well finished. The higher version has 2 memory seat buttons in the door, and in the old version nicely integrated, the new one has the buttons glued on. The steering wheel of the new version is soulless, the older version had 4 nice spokes. The top spec version of the previous model also had digital temperature control at the back. The previous one also had the dashed stripe in the seat and also has adaptive cruise control, mine has it. Of course they have improved things like the head up display that you did not mention. The larger rear wiper. Instead of 2 x 10.5 inch displays, there are now 2 x 12 inch displays together. The wireless android auto is a great upgrade but should be tested, mine is bad with a dongle, perfect with wire... I have been driving the previous model for a month now and I certainly do not think it is any less good. The interior was unique, now it looks too much like a Kona. But thanks for bringing them next to each other, was great to see.
@doolanbrian16 күн бұрын
In Ireland, these are the two same specifications, the model you spoke about is not available in our country so both models featured in the video are called executive plus in Ireland, we never had a 360° camera in this country before this month on Tucson , I’m guessing you are United Kingdom or Canada or America?
@philipsauers498715 күн бұрын
I have a 2022. Love it's wing lighted grill. DO NOT like this new grill and lights. Also DO NOT like the dash or center arm rest. It hasn't been 5 years and they've changed it ALREADY??? New model ABS sounds bad. The big dual camera screen is a distraction. The steering wheel looks to be "cheapened". Rear turn signals seem lower. SMH. When something looks good; changing so soon makes people wonder why.

The fact Hyundai didn't change the positioning of rear indicators to a higher position beside the Tail lights for example is a big disappointment from a safety point of view. Two more observation why haven't they included the LED bar on booth door on all models. Remember Hyundai are in stiff competition with Toyota and Peugeot and others And finally why didnt they install LED headlight on all models so we can see better on dark unlight roads at night. Most other cross overs have LED headlights.
@doolanbrian3 күн бұрын
I see people asking about the indicators a lot on line but strangely enough, we don’t get that comment at dealership level, …. The rear LED bar is only on the top two models, i’m guessing it’s a cost thing but I really can’t be sure.. the good news is the new models all have LED front lighting, and then the top two models have intelligent LED lighting🙂
