It’s really, really good. The amount of work that goes into it is crazy. My only thing is I wish the player evals were longer and even more detailed. But they’re still quality and when you have to write so many I think you have to force yourself to be more succinct.

With respect to Worthy and the relative paucity of big, down the field plays, Quinn is missing on a LOT of those throws. That’s absolutely a significant part of it. With respect to Franklin, we’re definitely seeing two different guys. The hands were incredibly inconsistent in the games I watched and he fought the ball over and over and over again. I also thought some of the tracking stuff was incredibly inconsistent and that Worthy outshines him clearly in that department. Worthy settles under it like a center fielder whereas Franklin is making these wild last nano-second adjustments as he realizes the ball is on a slightly different trajectory than he thought. So we couldn’t be more opposite on Franklin and Worthy other than the fact that they both have “mid” hands. Franlklin also does give better effort in the run game (watch the end of the Georgia game where they’re down by like 40 and he’s pissed off and scrapping like a hungry dog). But the ball tracking, it’s Worthy by a mile. I have Franklin as a late 3rd-early 4th and Worthy as a high-mid 2nd.

"You'll never see him juke a guy"; "can he power through an NFL jam consistently?"; "blocking is not his favorite thing to do" yet he's this perfect prospect. Not buying it. He's a great prospect but Nabers and Odunze are right there with him and if their names were Isaac Bruce Jr. and Tim Brown Jr.; they would probably be getting equal hype. I'm not saying that it's all about his name. Jerry Rice's son is clear evidence of that in this very draft but the hype head start that Harrison received led to him being anointed "generational" and the best receiver in the draft prematurely.

Dane’s soliloquy on Jermaine Burton is 100% on the mark. It’s almost exactly what I wrote down. He’s such a smooth, fluid mover, and has such natural hands and natural feel for the position and getting open, but something is off there on the football character side of things. There’s no way a guy that moves like that and is as natural as he is should be so up and down.

Ive seen Worthy trying to truck over dudes at 170 lbs meanwhile AD Mitchell goes down on 1st contact every play lol. And if the dude had 60+ catches and only 18% went for 20+ that tells me hes not just some one trick pony who runs vertical routes all game long.

I dont understand why people aren’t talking about Brock Bowers and the Bears…Waldron uses 2 and 3 TE sets, very often…Kmet is a Y, Everett is the move on a 2y contract and the bears need a big body receiver…if the 3 receivers are off the board at 9, i think bowers is very much in play for that offense and ppl are sleeping on it.
@koldkalibur82
@koldkalibur82 5 ай бұрын
Which would you consider to be a greater need? A TE in two years, or a WR in perhaps 1 year? Which would be a greater need? OL, DE, DT, WR, or TE? Who could have a greater impact on the Bears long term, Bowers? Or everyone predicted to go before him? I believe none of the answers to all of those questions are TE or Bowers. Bears have greater needs than at TE.
@Doubleuneal
@Doubleuneal 5 ай бұрын
@@koldkalibur82 Calling bowers a TE is short sighted. I would select at least 6 or 7 other players over him at other positions but he’s as blue as prospects and we need as many blue players as possible. He needs to be in the conversation.

@@shanem6253 after a quick google, I’ll give you a quote from Nate Tice, “But Harrison Jr. has so much more to his game than simply dunking on smaller opponents. His pedigree of being the son of one of the most refined route runners of all time shows up on every Ohio State passing play. His overall polish, despite weighing 209 pounds and standing at just under 6-foot-4, is what starts to crystallize the more you watch him, whether it’s on all-22 or the TV copy. Every aspect of his game oozes off the screen, from the route tempo and clean footwork; to the feigns on route stems that keep cornerbacks off-balance; to his bend and body control to sink and stay tight on his route breaks; to even his varied releases, like an elite pass rusher he can alter between speed and power when going against press or man coverage.”

it's always funny to me how BOTH Texas guys get questioned for being underwhelming like it's not a coincidence.. their coaching, scheme, and QB were so poor. AD is a future WR1, you can't teach what he does and his insanely high 16y ADOT leads to low YAC when you're not getting fed cheap production/screens (only 4 screens) like Odunze (18) and Nabers (14)
@LionsOnTheHunt313

Knocking Odunze and Nabers for getting many more screen plays as.an argument is just silly. That just is a difference in OC's, or possibly they're both better at running those plays. One of the common knocks on him is toughness, which I have no idea if thats true or not. Don't get me wrong tho, I think AD can be a WR1 as well.

You don’t see football players described with this word often but the adjective that comes to mind for MHJ (and Adonai Mitchell): lithe. “Thin, supple, graceful.” That’s usually a word you’d reserve for a dancer but, honestly, that’s kind of what he looks like on a football field.
