I was looking forward to a back and forth about the Vikings Packers game, but it was just a long overview of the Packers and then discussing the Vikings in the lens of green Bay.

The one thing no talking head will mention during their constant praising of the Packers is the schedule. “Love and the Packers have been so amazing since the bye!” I’m sure the fact that they’ve beaten only 1 team with a winning record in that stretch has NOTHING to do with it lol. Very convenient when you can excuse all their losses vs good teams in the 1st half of the season with “but Love wasn’t healthy!” but then glaze them like crazy for their 2nd half of the season which coincides with the easy part of their schedule Not saying it’s ALL due to their schedule, but to not even acknowledge it as part of a contributing factor for their recent upswing in numbers is misleading

They see the Packers based on their perceived strengths while seeing the Vikings based on their perceived weaknesses. The Vikings are also playing their best right now. They mentioned Jordan Love's stats but not the stats of Darnold. Over the past 5 games Darnold has 15 TD passes and 1 INT.
@moistnarКүн бұрын
the fact the Vikings barely beat the Seahawks a week after the Packers crushed them may have something to do with that

It's the same old bias just about every outlet has had for years
@TrustTheProcess34Күн бұрын
@@moistnar you mean the game that Geno Smith missed the entire 2nd half and the Packers once again faced yet another backup QB? That game is also the only team with a winning record the Packers have beaten in the last 10 weeks Also if you wanna do the whole comparison thing then what about the Vikings destroying the Bears a few weeks after the Packers got bailed out by a blocked gw Bears FG? See how dumb these excuses sound?

The lack of respect for the 13-2 Vikings is crazy
@vspencefulКүн бұрын
Agree. I always watch the show but they have doubted the Vikings all year. It seems as if every Vikings prediction was based their idea that Darnold was going do something leading to a loss. The reality is that Darnold has played better than Love this year. You don't have explain away his season by citing injury. He had 1 bad game. Love has turned over more than Darnold while playing fewer games.
@TrustTheProcess34Күн бұрын
@@vspencefulexactly. If everything was the exact same for the Vikings with the same exact QB production as currently but the only difference was the QB’s name was JJ McCarthy I promise you the entire perception of the team from outsiders would be completely different. The bias is literally just cause the QB’s name is Darnold
@adammoore5262Күн бұрын
You can change the way you see teams as they adapt through the season; agree 100%. But to not acknowledge the possibility that the back-to-back SB champions, HOF QB, HOF coaches/playcallers are probably gonna figure it out after dealing with injuries is willfully ignorant. You said of the Ravens, “we probably weren’t giving enough credit for what this team could become”, but it is doubly true for the Chiefs, and didn’t hear that same kind of acknowledgment for them at all.
@George_L-w7oКүн бұрын
These guys are complete imbeciles. You could tell they don’t watch the games. They got over the Packers. The Packers haven’t beat one good team this year. No signature wins. The last time they played the Vikings they were losing 28 to 0. These guys have no idea what they’re talking about. Minnesota will crush Green Bay. And I’m not even a Vikings fan. But I watch the games that have made a lot of money on Minnesota. These guys are absolutely clueless.

A lot of people only see the crazy catches he makes, which btw are some of the best catches I’ve ever seen (Bills catch this season, Ravens and Pittsburgh catches last season) but his run blocking is honestly incredible, one of the biggest draft steals, imagine finding a top 5 WR late in the 5th round

2024 has been a nightmare season for pitts. It didn’t help that he routinely gave up on routes, mishandled balls for interceptions, and nearly dropped the ball in the end zone for a touchback. He seems to value having a “smooth, cool guy image” over performance, unacceptable.

Numbers form their opinions. The shows become boring. Afraid to think or talk about anything that isn't backed up with hard data.
@ChewsCarefully5 күн бұрын
Definitely. But social media also has an effect. Zach Wilson was drafted at #2 *because the rhetoric around him would have made* the Jets _feel like_ they made a mistake if they didn't draft him. Fields was clearly the better fit. Wilson was overwhelmed by, well, playing in the NFL. Fields was clearly bored to tears with the Bears' insipid plays. Fields set accuracy _records_ in college. This means that the NFL found a way to track how little receivers have to move to catch passes & posts the info. But the _rhetoric_ around Fields was that his receivers carried him which is the exact opposite of what the stats showed. So rhetoric overcomes stats all the time.

Genuinely, did Jalen Hurts do something to you guys personally? If the Eagles offense had five turnovers with Hurts in the game it would be topic #1 while talking about their performance - and they managed to shade Hurts after a game where he barely played more than Kenny Pickett. And it made WSH’s win more impressive for them, I’m not sure why you’d just not mention it.
