Man, you timed this PERFECTLY. Just bought an MT09 2024 couple days ago and ordered the GP3 dominator right away as well. I’ve been wondering about all these things. Would be nice tho if you would’ve showed the installation. Appreciate the vid 🤝

Cool I got into more detail on installing on my other videos. Loosen the two top radiator mount bolts. Slide the radiator of the lower bracket Remove the lower radiator bracket Now the stock exhaust will come off easy and the couple Tips I have in this video for installing it will help Hit me up if you need more help.

@@vcyclenut thank you man. Appreciate it. According to Dominator the company remapping is not needed since it is a plug&play and made for the MT09 2024. Majority on the internet say it is recommended though. What are your thoughts on this? My local Yamaha service center told me I would get a check engine light turned on and an ECU is ”a must” 😂

@@bigstepperMT09 if you plug in the o2 sensor you won’t get a cel You don’t need it as it won’t blow up. Unless you ride around your neighborhood at full throttle near redline that not how loud it is. Almost all of the exhausts are over 130 db on the run.

It’s awesome that you test so many exhausts on the MT-09! I’m planning to get this as my next bike by the next riding season. What exhaust would you recommend that isn’t the loudest but still adds good power with a tune? From your videos, I’m thinking the Yosh with the DB killer. I’d appreciate your input!

That’s not a bad choice. The akrapovic is quieter Or even the Leo Vince is a great choice

Looks decent. When I’ve tested their exhausts in the past they have always been a bit behind the leaders as far as power. Their db killer is a really crappy design

I know you are busy man but have a question. I want a 2024 XSR900 exhaust that is not too loud but a little throater, and one you have a tune for. Do I just get your tune on a stock exhaust? or do you have an exhaust recommendation that is one small notch up on the loudness scale?

all of the aftermarket exhausts are significantly louder than the stock pipe the akrapovic with the larger muffler is probably the most quite

it wont blow up but it wont run optimal, the flash is transparent to the dealers equipment and the ecu can always be put back to stock if needed

Yes. I tested a couple different configurations on the 21 and they performed the same.

@@vcyclenut And I also found the video made by Dominator themselves, to show the 3 models: the HP6 on dyno run does 127hp but I think at the crank, so about 114hp at the wheel. This matches what you were saying, than the 3 silencer models have the same efficiency 😉
