We got our 2024 FX cruiser HO in deepwater blue 3 weeks ago. I was surprised at how quickly it came (we ordered it 2 weeks prior). I have ridden a friends VX cruiser w/1.8 most of this past summer and as was said in the video the 1.9 is way quicker off the line! I got ours up to 65 mph without really trying. I don't even know what the trim was set to. The FX Cruiser is most def a couch on the water, it is very comfortable vs the VX. My back gets sore on the VX after about an hour, I did not have any soreness on the FX. Plenty of storage and we opted for the Recdeck so the wife and I can throw a cooler on the back and head over to picnics or cookouts with no hassle. It's a sharp looking PWC and I am very happy with the purchase. My only regret is that the season is over here in NC, I can't wait for spring 2024!! Love this channel btw, you guys really helped me decide on which brand to buy.

Finally a review with new motor. Yamaha has by far the worst marketing in the industry. As an owner of 2 wave runners and a Yamaha boat I hesitate to buy their new products without more reviews. We are in the market for a new boat and unless we see reviews we will likely go with another manufacture as we have issues with our current boat we want to know are addressed.

I have a 19’ and it now has 214 trouble free hours. 1.8 N/A is bullet proof. Absolutely love my machine. Had seadoo before and nothing but issue after issue. Getting the 1.9 next.

I’m curious, what issues did you have with the Sea Doo? Was it model specific?

I had the Millennium Sea-Doo RX 951 huge piece of junk. 3 engines installed. Just junk.

@@Honda-wing5811 I had the Millennium edition GTX (3 seater) not only was she pretty, she ran great! I babied her of course. Sold her to one of my coworkers (& friend) and just before I retired I ran into him & she was running strong. There can be a lemon in any make & model of just about anything. I currently have another Sea Doo (17 GTI SE). And it has (also) been great. The kids & grandkids have put hours on it too. It’s been a blast! Considering a non supercharged Yamaha &/ or a Supercharged Kawasaki. I have no doubt that they both are well engineered crafts. It’s just going to come down to how much money “my mommy “ lets me spend! 😂

I’m getting this ski next week.. coming from a 2020 Seadoo GTI 170. I had a question about the Yamaha audio.. how is it compared to Seadoo/BRP OEM audio kit? Is there an aftermarket speaker setup that works best with this new VX Cruiser HO? Thanks!

Don't buy it with the pod audio, buy the detachable footwell speakers from Yamaha. They sound a lot better and you can use them other places as well.

I believe there will be new Skis from Yamaha in 2025. Seeing the FX series hasn’t been redesigned since after 2018. This is the 4th year of the newer GP. And they are bringing an all new 1900 SVHO ENGINE. Yeah, there should be new/remodeled bikes coming out 2025.

I’ve never had a VX, but I’ve owned a GP1800 R and currently have a GP1800 R SVHO. GP seats really aren’t designed for 3 people. Go to a dealer and look at both.

I think the older 1.8 would be faster purely on weight difference. 200hp is 20 more than the old 1.8 but it's giving away a fair bit of weight compared to Nano Xcel

@@fzr1000981 I got this exact ski in the vid about a month ago. It pretty much flies over the chop at full speed (67mph). I used to have a 2020 Seadoo GTI 170 before. The only thing I miss about the Seadoo is the bigger body, felt like a boat. Other than that the VX Cruiser HO has been sick af. Just gotta replace these stock speakers asap.

Ill keep my 21, boring out the block to make it a 1.9 isnt going to increase reliability of a open deck block. The NA models might be okay but if they do a SC version on this block i would steer clear.

Just curious why you would recommend avoiding a SC 1.9? I have a SC 1.8 fzr it’s an ‘09 with 350 hrs that runs great with only oil changes. Aren’t these very similar engines?

​@@danav3387 2017 modded svho here. In the same boat as you. I think the 1.9 with the blower will be unreal. More efficient, better cooling, redesigned head. With a SC, it'll haul once they start tuning them. The new Seadoo 325 runs an insane amount of rpm and boost from factory to get that lil honker going. Being an FX owner and running with plenty of Seadoos in heavy swell and chop, I'll def keep my Yamaha. Seadoo owners cry for help with the swell gets heavy 😅😂

It is a better engine. You did a top speed of 102 K with a 2023 GP 1800 HO, and this 1900 VX Cruiser went to 110K @ 7800 rpm. Not bad for a non supercharged engine that probably can run on regular gas.

The msrp is under $14K for non-audio. So, don't buy it brand new. Buy somebody's personal ski and save on dealer fees. I'm buying one with audio at a dealer for about $19K with trailer, after tax, tag, title, and fees. You also have the option of the EX model starting at almost half the price, or even a seadoo spark. There's a ton of people who can afford this ski. It's relatively cheap compared to a lot of other toys.

You can get these with audio in the 14k range. 20k is for the super charged SVHO. But this is wayyy better IMO as you get the 1.9 motor.. 68mph??? A 170 seadoo can only do 58mph!!! Trust me.. this is the perfect ski (waver runner 😎) for the price.
