just bought a white on red 2024 tlx type s and this car is absolutely perfect, only thing it could have is a bit more power but its definitely enough to still get in trouble. its so comfortable, so solid, sound system is amazing and ive already gotten multiple compliments in just a few weeks of having it, this car leads the segment in its looks and styling. i got a CPO for only 52,500$ with 6400 miles, perfect condition

@ I don’t wanna void any warranty’s or cause premature wear and tear on the car. Maybe when warranty’s are up, but from what I’ve seen the tlx type s has like no after market support, theres only the stage 1 JB4, along with a view stage 1 parts

I worked in several BMW dealerships and their repair shops make all the money for the stores, especially for the ones that are off warranty. But the most common embarrassment we just got used to we're all the new ones we sold came riding in on the back of tow trucks. We can barely keep enough loaner cars in we just got used to seeing the brand new ones ride in on tow trucks. Ask any tow truck driver what cars break down the most that they have to pick up on the side of the road. They always say Volkswagen, other German cars and Chrysler products I've only asked four, same answer. Go ahead, hate the messenger.

Another Amazing review, TLX TS should have had 400 hp, but knowing Acura they always play safe, which they didn't with Integra TS. Love that Integra TS, So much better looking than the TLX TS, I would take the Integra over the TLX too. Stance of Integra TS is so much more sexier than the TLX. Which looks just like the regular TLX.

I like your review but the better comparison is to its main competitor, which is the Genesis G70. Very similar pricing. I recommend you drive a G70 3.3T Sport.

TLX owner here. This car has one of the highest crash test rating. Even higher than the Germans. I was shocked. This is also true for the integra and the MDX.

This isn't an on paper car, it's a once you drive it you get it car. It's looks are unique, exhaust note and handling shine.

100% agree. I’ve had a bmw 330i, c43 and now is500. The Lexus is just full of character unique to it; it feels special and old school in its delivery. And what can I say the V8 is insane. It’s not the fastest 0-60 but it has its own unique attitude that speaks to me
@drivescene6747Ай бұрын
It’s essentially a parts bin car. The chassis is like 10 years old, the motor is a variant of the motor from the ISF and the transmission is essentially the same. I love the way it looks however and the 5.0 V8 has the absolute best rev limiter I’ve heard so far
@drivescene6747Ай бұрын
@@Jesse-x4oI agree wholeheartedly. I’ve driven it and it’s sooo much fun and surprisingly comfortable especially for a car riding on 20” wheels

I have been a BMW driver more a more than two decades but they slowly became a company that eventually broke my heart. A majority of which is that they moved away from manual, as have most other companies, but worst of all is their automatics are terrible. My last one was a sought after 2014 328ix F31 (wagon). The 4 cyl was WAY under powered considering what it replaced and the competition. Two years prior my same model wagon rusted out so it was replaced with that newer one. I regretted driving it every day. Then it needed a new valve cover gasket and a head gasket, which was nearly the entire value of the car so I sold it. I miss the AWD but I replaced it with an Integra A Type. Though the 4 cyl has less power, the car is 500+ lbs lighter and feels a lot better on the road than the F31. Someone Tboned my in the first week of owning the Integra, so now I am out a car and Eyeing this one, and it seems superior to BMW in almost every way

I would say your biggest difference is customer base. The M340 is going to have a lot more mod/tuners that are looking to do the typical downpipe and a tune to building record-breaking M340s. The TLX is far from reliable considering Honda released either a bulletin or a recall for those turbo V6s. We are seeing these kinds of issues now from Honda and Toyota, so I would be cautious about buying a car with engine issues compared to the B58 that people have pushed and tested the limits of. Of course you have to make sacrifices; the BMW will have a few more issues, like oil pump needing to get swapped out in the early years and some leaks, but you get a much more rewarding daily even on a stock map that you can push comfortably. I'd say the TLX is a great sporty daily or grand touring car.

@henrysniper8481Ай бұрын
So untrue. Some put reliability at the top of the list for priorities in which case Acura or Lexus is at the top, German cars at the bottom. I have a friend who has a 7 bay repair shop for German and Italian cars and I asked him if the German cars, specifically BMW, have gotten any better since I worked in a couple of dealerships a few years back, and he jokingly said, You want the truth? You can't handle the truth, and I said, that bad ? and he said they're absolute garbage, and that's how I'm getting rich. He is charging less for repairs the dealership, his mechanics do a great job and he doesn't rip anyone off. See my other comment about working in BMW dealerships.
