Personally, I think the OPTIQ is a gorgeous vehicle all around. The dash-to-axle ratio makes it look like it is a FWD based vehicle but the OPTIQ will get standard AWD so it could be a very fun vehicle to drive.

I'm glad the Optiq doesn't have horizontal tail lights. Vertical only is classic Cadillac, which I prefer.

Vertical lights are great if they’re executed like they are on the Escalade. Unfortunately, that’s not the case for the Optiq. The vertical PLUS horizontal combo (Lyriq and Vistiq) looks much better.

The Chevy name is associated with rental and fleet cars which makes me shy away from the Equinox. I would take the Optiq but it should have looked more like a mini Lyriq.

@@Luckimee - Evs are still expensive. It is best to not be the first on the block to get a new car. If you wait you will be surprised to see deals. The XT4 might have a deal now. Most likely Optiq will have one in the future.

I don't know what you do for a living but cars are my passion and food is my love. Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management degree holder here. I would not come on this podcast having a back and forth with Alex. The format would go like this. Even though I know quite a bit about cars as well. Same goes for you. If you were on a podcast where I was giving you a rundown about the food industry or certain recipes, you'd look like a fool to think you're supposed to be giving me something that I don't already know. Q&A? Sure. Back and forth? Not quite.

I lile the design, but i have no interest in EV and will buy ice until it's not possible. I do hope we get that redesigned XT5 though.

The “A” pillar…2 things. First: Car enthusiasts/car guys know too much. The average person doesn’t notice or care. I know what you’re saying. Two: This has been GM theme since the beginning of time. VW does it with Porsche, Audi, Lamborghini, SEAT, Skoda and Bentley. Camry/ES…etc.

I also appreciate the information provided about the Optiq and also had enough of listening about the A pillar. For me the sloping front is an improvement on the classic Cadillac ICE design. It's electric and aerodynamic features are part of going electric. The etched laminated glass is also a n added bonus. Removing the rear wiper and going with an air wash split spoiler looks nice but not sure how effective it will be. Ready to order one right now and will be following to see what more you will inform us about. I also think the Equinox EV looks inside and out like a Chevy and the Optiq is for sure a Cadillac EV
