2025 Coachman Acadia 460 2 review

I look at the re-vamped Acadia from Coachman - a more modern interior but does it still feel like a Coachman? Large washroom with excellent shower cubicle and practical kitchen, exterior looks good with new decals but no GRP sides for 2025 as I thought may happen. Still well finished overall

Hi Andrew, watched your review and after years of shouting for Coachman to fit doors for under bed access, you missed this on the video. Agree with you that it now looks a cheaper version of Acadia for more money. Keep up the good reviews.

Hi Andy, appreciate we need to see prices but I agree seems built down to a price - surprising given , as you say, what would normally be expected of a Coachman (and Kabe for that matter). That splash back material - can't see that going into production, far too retro!!!

It just looks it - a shame thought the range was good though possibly some may have gone for it over the VIP so the VIP now looks far more up market could have been the Acadia was steeling some VIP sales?

Thanks, Andy, it still looks like a nice airy and light van inside despite the size, the colour scheme helps too. It seems like this is where manufacturers are going these days, with the cost of materials and fittings rising constantly(hopefully with stabilize soon ) they have to be precise with the budgets they can spend on the vans now . Overall a 7/10 as at least they are catering for single and couples looking for a nice smaller van .😃

I was glad to see the 460 back I did a review on it a few years ago now and I thought it an excellent tourer, dissapointed when dropped - excited when re-born!! Yes I understand as you say costs and they have to budget just seems a bit to much but still a solid tourer overall - thanks for comments

Hi Andy, good honest review as always. The feeling of quality does seem to be lost in that design, a bit too retro with the kitchen surfaces. They may be trying to save some weight but some of the cabinet doors do look very cheap and cheerful. The interior does have that modern bright feel with good quality seating as Coachman always had. Good Alde heating system but one does get the feeling Coachman are playing to an audience with less money too spend which is no harm at all.

I think so - I remember getting told off by them in a new review I did in Practical Caravan - saying the Amara was entry level for Coachman - they said entry is basic and the Amara wasnt! I think they wont bring a Sprite type range in as that wouldnt look good on the brand - thanks Kevin hope you are both doing okay

Hi Andy you never showed it but by the light coming in no kitchen extraction fan. Think this is how all makers are going over the next few years.

yes a feature that was once common on some mid range tourers but no more - even the last Unicorn had it omitted not sure if its returned for the new 25 Unicorn thoigh

Your obviously not to impressed, a agree it looks a bit budget, I love the old coachman’s we would have had one but they were to heavy for our car. Another great unbiased review Andy.

Yes i wasnt over impressed and as daft as it sounds i feel guilty for that! Nice van in its own way but just doesnt have that Coachman feel - thanks as always for cooments and watching.

No prices yet but I’m guessing it’s £28k minimum. Then as you say, you look at what it hasn’t got for the money. No radio or solar panel is criminal at this price point. There’s much better value from other manufacturers. It’s a very expensive 2 berth and I’d be surprised if it isn’t heavily discounted to shift it. I’d also add, to bang the drum again, Coachman only offer one family layout and it’s on a twin axle which most families don’t want. They’re missing a trick.

Yes it will be arond that Andy - and I think layouts cut back - yes its a shame because the first ones were really nice but there is now a bigger differeance between thyat and as vip which feels so much more up market- thanks for comment T

It doesn't look any better than a sprite in all fairness. The manufacturers have to reduce prices to keep the industry ticking over. Inevitably that'll mean cost cutting measures being implemented and coachman certainly look like they're doing that.
