At this point my fishing purchases almost pay for themselves, so it's easy to try a new reel every so often. :). Plus a lot of people like to know about the new releases. Definitely not an investment - just another expense. Lol.

Great information thank you I only have bfs reel it's a kastking zephyr bfs if you get one please do a video on it. I have used a few times and no problems with it I do not have a rod for it so I can't cast lite lures with it to know how good it works on them

I saw on a review of one of the new Daiwa conventional reels that a very small wrench for adjusting spool tension was included in the box.

Daiwa needs to stop toying with their customers, if they want a zero adjustment tension knob they should release a reel that doesn’t have one at all like so many of the classic round bfs reels. Daiwa & Shimano have been playing more mind games with their customers as their technology becomes less specialized and less novel. Seems like 5ish years ago is the last time D&S were offering technology you couldn’t buy at a cheaper price

Fair enough. I'll see how the zero adjust stuff works - but yeah - if we're not supposed to adjust it, just eliminate it. Would actually lower the cost I would think.
