Nice informative vid Ade. You are defo on the right lines of NO lube. I have changed out all the bearings on my baitcasters and found they work better if you remove the orange shields. Give it a go and see what you think. Stay safe mate. 👍

Suggest you pull and set the bearing retainer clip from the inside of a ziplock bag.

I think you may be thinking of the Dark Wolf Ultra. This is the original DW DF50. It only had a Clip to retain the side plate bearing. Checkout @BFS FISHING CHANNEL where Peter Kim shows how to remove replace the tiny C Clip that holds the spool bearing in place🎣🎣

I’d say realistically 2gr but not far. It’s good with 3gr up to about 10gr

@@TheConstantAngler i deleted my facebook a while ago haha but thanks anyway. Looking to buy a budget bfs like the zephyr (newest one has drag clicker too!) and then maybe upgrade it with the ceramics, shame the Curado bfs isn’t available in uk or I would have just bought that

Damnit can't get the bearing out of the god damn magnet cover. Got the little jumpy thingy out but the bearing it self ain't coming out. Can't push anything beneath the bearing to hook it up. Nothing fits under

The brakes are already bad with the original nmb bearings, with the ceramic ones the brakes will work completely closed... because the brakes don't handle it.

I’m finding it ok but with very light lures the brakes aren’t up to it. The DWU can handle lighter lures though.

If you can find stronger magnets for the Dark Wolf DF50 then yes but the Dark Wolf Ultra can handle light lures

I’m going to share with you and the readers how the smallest of items can reappear in the most unexpected of places. I am not making this up by the way. I had in the 1970s a Sony Walkman. It had a dust cover on one of the ports which when I removed it popped from my fingers into the lounge carpet? Sofa? Under the sofa, the fire ? ! After looking for two hours at my nana and gramps house which is where is where I was when I popped the cover, I gave up. Back at my flat at eleven pm, my nana phoned me up, “I found the dust cover”. Where I asked? “In my bra”!! It had flown into the air and landed in my nana’s blouse then got into her bra. Strange but true!!
