Scott don't warm up with burger trust me. Had an injury last year and burger was my 1B for most of the rest of the year. It killed me. Keep him in that next tier. I don't like his ADP.

It seems obvious what the Dodgers are planning. They will have their starters pitch 4 or 5 innings ...... then pitch 1 closer per inning to finish the game.

I like the idea of a ceiling along with a floor. I'm tired of too many teams not spending anybody but sill raise prices to their fanbase. It was back in the 00's I think where teams like the Marlins & Pirates were found to be using revenue sharing to pay off stadium-costs instead of on their teams. These teams use loopholes simply to offset money costs in the wrong way. The teams who cry poor are the ones hurting the league. MLB made $11B in 2024 and made $8B in 2021 - why don't these teams spend? If you can't keep up, sell and get out. They won't do it, because it's such a great investment. Fans spend more every year while some of these owners do nothing but raise the tix price by 5-10% annually.

On the Dodgers thing you're all dopes... forget about the stupid Bullpen players. They're lineup is the best in baseball. And they have five aces in the rotation. They'll easily win their division and run the table and they just won the World Series twice in 4 years. This should repeat this for the next 4 years. This is not good for a sport that's barely watchable and only good to do fantasy

The Rockies have been top-half of attendance since 2020. They never sign anybody. A hitter like Alonso could thrive there. Yet they've never been mentioned while they have a ho-hum 1B in place who's capped at 25-30 HRs and is a major swing & miss guy. Why are these teams not held accountable for doing zip in the offseason. I despise the Dodgers from my 70s Phillies fandom when I was a kid. But they're doing things right along with the rules of MLB.

I think the part that kind of misses the mark in your argument is that, sure, any team can sign Player X or Player Y or Player Z…. How many teams can afford to sign Player X AND Player Y AND Player Z to a team that’s already the most loaded (and one of the most expensive) in baseball? In what other major sport are teams on such different grounds in terms of the teams they can afford to put on the field? Obviously the Pirates can (and should!) pay up for much better rosters, but are we going to sit here and pretend they can build a roster like the Dodgers have? In what other sport does that occur? It may be better for casual fans, but why should Pirates fans continue to care when they know they won’t be able to afford the baseline talent the Dodgers will be able to put out whenever they seem to please? For the off chance that they’re the Royals and field a cheap, competitive team once every decade before fading back to the cellar? This doesn’t happen in other sports!

If team 1 gets player A, team 2 gets player B, team 3 gets player C, and so on, it would drastically limit the talent accumulation of any one team. The Dodgers aren't just gonna get anyone for the sake of getting them, they've never done that. Also, Betts should've never been traded to them, Red Sox can afford him. Freeman should've never reached FA, Braves can afford him, Ohtani was mismanaged by the Angels, etc etc etc. This is on the others not doing it right.

Also, draft and develop better, it's not all about Free Agency. Other teams pick earlier than the Dodgers every year, especially now with luxury tax penalties. Why do the Dodgers have a better farm system? Why do they always have drafted players other teams want in trades?

The take the other teams are not trying so the Dodgers building a super team is probably the worst take I've ever heard. Nobody with an IQ above 20 thinks teams aren't trying to buy the best players. They are getting outbid. It's bad for baseball and to try and justify it by saying other teams aren't trying is just stupid.
