Ford made a change to the 7.3l Godzilla superduty for 2025 to replace the 10R140 transmission with the 10R100 transmission. Please leave your comments down below to let me know your thoughts on this change.

I have a 2020 with the 7.3 and I always felt that 10R140 was a little clunky for the gas engine and was better mated to the diesel. I’m not mad a have a robust transmission. Just speaking subjectively about how it feels. I built a 2025 online the other day and couldn’t understand why it opted for the G when you picked the 7.3. You answered all my questions. Thank you sir.

I disagree, the transmission is NEVER a place I want to sacrifice any strength if I don't have to. It's too critical to the whole system. I get that the 10R100 is enough but towing a 7% grade on say a 175k mile trans with 14k lbs behind you having the 10R140 is some peace of mind. You mentioned it in the video a bit but I think for most Super Duty owners they are towing and hauling alot so your 99% of people is maybe more like 10% of those who really aren't working the trucks all that hard. Just my .02, good breakdown of the differences. Also, I get where you're coming from with high HP drag cars/trucks but its just such a different use case. Not having a trailer plus the limited time spent under load is just so much different then hours on end towing a trailer up hills on a hot day. They aren't actually that comparable of scenarios.

Slipped in a late orderF350, 7.3 ,XLT ,SuperCab on Sept.26.Sheduled to be built week of 11/18. Happy that it went through. I've never been a fan of decontenting.

according to ford 2025 superduty build and price page if you get the f250 with 7.3L you get the Torqshift-g transmission but if you get the Tremor package you get the 10r140 transmission you also still get the 10r140 on the f350 with the 7.3L

My buddy build a 2025 f350 7.3 gas and it comes with a 10r140 if he option for the 6.8 it change the transmission to torque G

Only time and testing will tell with this setup. As long as the tow ratings aren't affected negatively, I could see the potential benefits. It'd be nice to dyno test with the old and new transmission to see if there's any difference.

I heard 10r100 shifts smoother then 10r140 that is more clunky . Thinking 10r140 is mainly for diesel.

i have 2024 f350 430 gears dont need any lower gears and yes i pull 20k plus i will be keeping it

just more cost savings on the assembly line while they charge more at the dealer... Gotta love it... My 7.3 10r140 is clunky though... bad programing

Only time will tell. I didn’t buy my 7.3 for fuel economy. I bought it for towing and longevity because this is a 20-25 year truck for me. I plan on doing a cam swap and exhaust mods.

You need to be more clear on your video what super duty are you talking about makes a difference if you’re talking about f250 or f350

Sorry I should have. F250/350 both are 10r100 for 7.3 in 2025.

So, a downgrade on the trans …betting there isn’t a corresponding drop in price. More & more seems to be the king of decontenting …charging more for less.

Literally splitting hairs and worried about out saving .2 mpgs, your already paying too much for a truck anyway, what's 100lb payload going to give u and a micro mpg gain😂. Dude comparing f250 f350 to his "extended cab" raptor and only pulling 3000lbs, bro come one, stop being a BETA MALE😂😂😂
