I buy a similar amount of seeds to grow in my small Porch Garden. Yes, I am addicted too lol
Too relatable once you start buying seeds it’s so hard to stop I’m listening to this as I run out of space in my seed organizer boxes. Definitely going to be an interesting growing season this year

If there is will, there is a way 😆 Every square inch of my property is in danger of becoming a garden.

Awesome! Finally found a fellow KY gardener! I'm in Hardin county and building up my garden business this year and hopefully will be selling at the farmers market

Good luck with your garden! I grew up selling at farmers markets and really miss it. I’m starting to get into native plants and thinking I may try selling native plant starts in my area.

@TylerLloyd that's awesome! Hopefully I might see you at one at some point. I'm planning on doing something similar to you and documenting my journey on my channel. I don't care if it gets big enough to monetize but if people can learn from my success and failures then I can call it a win 👍

Yeah, i've bought to many. I got to many seeds even before christmas, and all the christmas sales...it was very cheap, but don't know what im going to do with everything.
@TylerLloyd5 күн бұрын
What got me were the deals like “free shipping for orders over $40.” I had everything I needed at $22, but couldn’t pass up free shipping 😆. I will likely be finding some seed swaps in my area, to give away some excess while also maybe picking up something I don’t have (not that I’ll have the room for it!). I also gave away several plant starts last year to friends as I’m trying to bring more people into gardening.

i bought bolero pelleted carrots from johnnys in winter 2022...and thet did great 2023 and 2024. germination was the same on the 2nd year. i still have some seeds i will do a germination test this week ill let u know. if they aee good for a 3rd yr
@TylerLloyd6 күн бұрын
That’s good to know! I did a germination test earlier this year of a bunch of old seeds that I bought an estate sales. They were left out in a building, exposed to temperature swings, for 10+ years, and they did surprisingly well. I hope the pelleted carrots germinate well in year 3!

Hey! You say you speak French with a West African accent? Are you originally from a French speaking African country or did you live their for a while? I'm from South Africa. I love your garden, I can't wait to see what the next year brings you!
@TylerLloyd5 күн бұрын
I learned French while living in Burkina Faso. I lived there for two years and loved my experience. Since my French speaking was all set in a rural village, my vocabulary has lots of holes and there are several words only know in one of the local Burkina languages. I hope to make it down to South Africa and neighboring countries one day.
