The Honda Odyssey, America's retail best-selling minivan, is reasserting its leadership for 2025 as the ultimate fun family vehicle with sporty new styling, more standard features and an updated cabin experience with technology improvements for the whole family. Arriving at Honda dealerships starting tomorrow, the 2025 Odyssey will be available in four very well-equipped trim levels, EX-L, Sport-L, Touring and Elite, with prices starting at $41,920 (excluding a $1,395 destination and handling charge).

What's New for 2025
The enhanced appearance of the 2025 Odyssey includes a sporty new grille, and reshaped front and rear fascias that accentuate Odyssey's wide stance. For a more premium, aspirational look, the aggressive new front facia features larger black fog light surrounds and the redesigned rear bumper integrates the same vertical reflectors used on the second-generation Acura NSX supercar.
Every 2025 Odyssey also receives sharp new wheel designs, including the top-of-the-line Elite, which gets new machine-finished 19-inch alloys. Additionally, two attractive new colors are available: striking Solar Silver Metallic and Smoke Blue Pearl.
Inside, Odyssey boasts major technology updates that include a host of new standard features. More advanced tech has been smartly integrated to enhance Odyssey's cabin experience. A new 7-inch digital instrument display is now standard, featuring an all-digital tachometer on the left and a physical speedometer on the right. The display also includes user-selectable functions, such as Honda Sensing® settings, vehicle information and more.
Every 2025 Odyssey gets a larger 9-inch color touchscreen with a faster processor for lag-free performance, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility, a wireless phone charger and more USB-C ports throughout the cabin.
Odyssey's Rear Entertainment System has been completely revamped with a larger 12.8-inch high-resolution screen, one of the largest in its class, and enhanced functionality. The HDMI plug has been relocated to the inside of the console, which now provides a bin dedicated to streaming device storage.

Father of three, Odyssey owner, can confirm. Starting my 6th year with it - best car I’ve ever owned. Eats up the highway miles while keeping everybody comfortable. Plenty of real power - not turbo4 bs. Average 25mpg. Not a ton of flashy features but everything just works. Usually after being in one car for this long I’m starting to think about what’s next. Instead I’m thinking about things like getting it detailed, adding the roof rails, and other misc tweaks to prepare for the next 5 years. I have to think hard to find complaints and they’re all very minor. Collision detection could use some work though it did save my butt once. Front passenger seat needs more range of motion. They need to find a way to cut some weight from the 2nd row seats. Yeah…that’s about it…

I love minivans, they are very practical, people haulers. I wished they brought in the Toyota Previa. I've seen that in Asia, it is a very nice compact package that can still fit 7 to 8 people.

I love your family. Your kids are so well behaved and your wife is so nice. I hope you guys have a wonderful time in Disneyworld. We just returned from a week at Disneyland CA. Our car looked just like your van filled with people and stuff but at a car level. We had a blast! I hope Honda listens to your well earned advise for the next Odyssey. You're the perfect family and the perfect guy to give them advice on what to change to bring their vehicle closer to perfection. I wanted Sienna but after driving the Honda my views have changed. I drove the Kia, Sienna and Honda all in one day. Pros n Cons but the Honda was a dream to drive and comfortable. The Kia is best looking but felt so cheap, nice tech tho. Sienna drove a '24 and felt a bit weak but AWD and 36mpg sure would be nice. But they want 69K with no AWD could maybe get for 61K out of town. If price was same I would maybe get the Sienna but we're at a 11-12K difference.

The Honda v6 is super smooth and powerful allowing effortless passing. In your review of the Sienna hybrid the one con seems to be the noticeably lower power but otherwise a smooth and efficient hybrid powertrain. But ultimately which one would you choose?

Odyssey is my choice. Toyota Sienna's hybrid isn't nearly as smooth as the old V6 siennas, nor this Odyssey. However, the 5th gen Hybrid that the Camry has would be a welcome improvement for the Sienna's refinement.

You can get basic turn by turn navigation directions in the gauge cluster from Apple Maps on CarPlay and Google Maps on Android Auto. That way you can still have basic directions without a map and use cabin watch on the main screen (though I agree a wider screen would be a better solution).

Great review. Any issues with the rear AC effectiveness? I see a lot of criticisms due to not having the fan in the back and the rear vents not being in the ceiling.

Looks like you're near where I live from the video. My sis and bro in law just bought a 23 Odyssey and it's definitely more comfortable and more room from their Pilot especially with the addition to their family. They hate the Start/Stop feature and gear selector buttons but other than that they like it. I find the ride stiffer than our 2012 Sienna even with lowering springs and maybe slightly lower profile tires.

@@itsaboutfam yup, it can be shut off. It’s just the hassle of remembering to do it and even worse, the yellow indicator it leaves on the instrument screen for perpetuity when I do cut it off.

@@KirkKreifels Hi Kirk. Even with the AC always on (even in the winter to prevent window fog), the engine will still shut off until I hit the gas, with stop/start enabled. Perhaps the Ridgeline is different than the newer Odyssey.

I am a big fan of the Honda odyssey. Its just so smooth and quiet and comfortable. I think the v6 is worth it instead of the Sienna. The odyssey is less expensive and so depending how much you drive it is basically a wash when it comes to cost of ownership.

I actuall like tge sienna better because of the bridge. The cupholders are in the best place to put my phone mount in the cupholder and has perfect placement of my arm going to my phone if i need 2 do anything and also that dame bridge makes it so easy to put a tray of food there so i can eat when im in my van. Ive saved around 10k in fuel economy since 2021 to now compared to the v6 also. The sienna gets a much better start with the awd system if you pre stsrt the engine before a start. Put the van in sport mode turn the traction and stabikity off with holding the button and also press the brakes and hold the gas down so you can just start the engine and it. Shoots off the line. I just like the instant response if the tq under certsin conditions where you would have to get a few downshifts in a regular automatic. Also this interior looks old af. I have the 8 seater version and i like you can remove the 2nd row seat but stil bring the seat ith you tucked away in the wall. Plus depending on which honda v6 this is the v6 hasnt been as reliable as it could be. Resale value is most ikely better also on the sienna.

The Odyssey really needs to be hybridized. I don't see Honda doing that until the Odyssey is on an all-new platform. Honda did say that the SOHC j35 was not EPA compliant past this year. This is why they came out with the new DOHC j35. This may have changed with the new administration.

The Odyssey is years behind in technology and features compared to the Carnival, new Sienna, and all the Chinese MPV offering we unfortunately cannot get here in the states. Even my 2023 Ridgeline looks 10 years old in design and technology.
