I've seen a lot of people complaining that this car makes a fake engine sound. They don't try to understand what the sound does. The sound is an important element that informs you of the current driving condition. The same goes for fake gear shifting. This will help you reduce your speed appropriately when going around a corner. N is the label for the track. Racers require a lot of feedback and must make quick and accurate maneuvers when running on the track. The features are there for fun, but they're essentially there for powerful sports driving. Personally, I think people who think EVs shouldn't make noise don't even want sports driving in EVs. All they need is enough motor power to not feel stuffy. They are right to choose IONIQ 5 over N or consider another EV.

It was the Kia EV6 for me. I didn’t like it, and now I do. Still don’t own one and probably never will. I like my Hilux to much. 🙂

The Porsches are a different animal really but this is a fun track-ready EV hatch. I can live without the noise and shifting but it’s nice to offer that for those who want it. I need to spend more time with one to really figure it all out

Not in the USA. No options available. Definitely love the car (and the video!) just disappointed as without the options I won't be buying it - and I have been saving for it since last summer to be my next car.

@@JohnLee-db9zt Drove it. Bought it in abyss black. Drives great, gonna love it on back roads, and has the family space that I need. Still disappointed that it doesn't have the glass roof. I'm coming from a convertible and this is my daily driver. I'm a consumer. I want what I want. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Because they went to great lengths to stiffen the chassis & a sunroof would mess it up, plus it would affect headroom with a racing helmet on.

its not "goofy", no its not "not necessary"... its there as an option if you feel like it. Stop being an EV hater, its there if u want it to be fun. Its just a fucking car, no need to make it too complicated.
