2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid XRT Peak review - including off-road test!

The design is slowly growing on me, and the XRT pack improves the look of the Santa Fe (in my humble opinion). However, if I needed off-road capability, I'd simply buy a 4WD. The XRT pack for the Santa Fe seems to be the answer to a question no one asked.

This pack looks great on this SUV. As for off roading I think it's better suited for speed humps at the local shopping centre.

So many comments on here by people who obviously live in the big cities and can’t think outside of that box. This option pack is good for people who live in rural areas and travel on gravel roads a lot and also single lane bitumen roads where you have to go off the road and put two wheels on the grass. It’s obviously not for offloading. My wife doesn’t want to drive a full blown 4x4 but she would certainly drive this.

8:40 I could also say that about the GWM Canon Alpha the eye monitor camera on that is also really annoying especially when you turn it off and then it resets again when you turn the car back on

Yep; they all are designed to default on at restart. It’s an NCAP thing.

I like the look of the XRT, perhaps this is a stupid question. Can you get the XRT with road tyres? Also, surely any turbo-petrol engine in Australia requires a minimum of 95 octane, not 91?

That skid plate won't last long. They needed to replace that front bumper with something that gave a lot more entry angle. I used to have an SX4. Similar clearance to this. But the front bumper always stopped it. No this is a bad idea. The rest of the vehicle will give up way before the tires do. I can see people buying these then wondering why they broke it first track they went up.
