I don’t know about that Ferrari disconnect. It’s definitely sus, but had a legit software crash once, and I also just ended up in the pit with a tow without damage. we cannot proof anything

Just map alt-f4 to the steering wheel. Or have a mapped button next to you doing that.

You can turn the router/pc off. Or better: pull the cable out. In the past cheaters even installed a physical switch on their network cable to be able to ghost through other cars and many other side effects by rapidly turning the connection on and off at specific moments. Called a "lag switch". Also possible with software. It's not proven in this case, but messing with the internet connection definitely can and will be used for cheating.

@ Noone, thats the flaw of online competition. Accidental disconnect looks the same as intentional.
