I had an E-Type which fallowed an XK-140. Raced the XK-140, drove the E-Type on the Autobahn. Both wonderful, sensitive, need maintenance cars. I was single. Got married. Got a VW. So best of luck to the new owners of the new cars. You will love them. Except for the maintenance, which may be better. But they are a thrill to drive. Good luck!

The E type fastback version never looked as good as the coup. The new Jaguar will be all electric, of course which will make it super reliable and unbelievably fast especially during acceleration. The AI rendering are terrible, 😊it ins me of speed racer cartoons.

Sadly, as the comments below show, this is a nonsense video. As a 5year old, I saw an image of the E-type on the placemats at the dinner table. Since then(I am 58 this year) I agree it is still the most stunning car to have been designed. So obviously I thought how does Jaguar repeat this miracle? I came to the conclusion that it is sort of impossible. Maybe maybe maybe if the materials, electrical parts, the engine are re-produced almost exactly the same but more efficiently so that the function of the parts are improved, a new E-type could have a chance. Engine mods will have to use updated tech - no turbos hwvr. Upgraded suspension set ups and carbon fibre instead of metal for bodywork should be implemented, but other than that, this car was perfect. A turntable called the Beogram 4000 made by Bang and Olufsen in 1972(or7) won numerous design awards. The design still looks contemporary today. What B&O decided to do was recreate it EXACTLY like it appeared way back then but improved all of the tech problems. It really looks the same as before but it is brand new. The price is startling but those in the know, know what that turntable is famous for. This is why I suggest the E-type jag approach. I cant get excited abt the mini, the beetle, the mustang etc etc etc, because the essence and the concept behind the originals have been lost. Thanks for reading.
