I just picked up a 2024 nighthawk. Traded in my 23 base sport. At first I didn’t really like the NH. The more I drive it the more I love it. Not to mention the great price I got it for. I paid more for my base sport than I did for the 24 NH. I don’t need a major off roader, what the NH has to offer is more than I need. And it looks awesome. Great video Jason 👍 can’t wait to see yr 41’ color rubicon gladiator soon 😁

I’m trying to decide between a gladiator or Ridgeline. I like the back seat room in the gladiator plus the ability to accessorize it. I like the ridgeline for the simplicity of awd and the swing out tailgate and in bed trunk. It’s a really hard decision.

I notice at 4:31 that the protective tape only comes 3/4 of the way up the rear fender. My 2024 Willys with less than 500 miles has a rock chip about an inch above the protective tape, because Stellantis decided to save a few cents worth of protective tape . It makes zero sense to only have it come part of the way up when this problem is obviously apparent enough to put the tape on to begin with.

I'm not a fan of the rear under seat storage in the Gladiator. I wish they had it fold flat like in my dad's ram. Makes the floor not functional for 12v fridges. I have to nit pick on details that would matter to me. I would probably have to remove that when going camping.

Nice video as always 👍👍 20 inch rims on a Jeep 🧐 looks like a big compromise to capability ??? Jason can you make a dedicated video pertaining to Death Wobble any examples you may have had and how you resolved the problem ???
@Jason-SamkoАй бұрын
Yep the 20s are definitely more for the road. But sexy package for sure. I have never experienced death wobble in any of my jeeps including lifted ones
@MrJEEPJTАй бұрын
@ I just experienced it in my Jeep Gladiator it’s a 2022 Sport stock no lift kits no leveling kits all highway miles and local driving just turned 9,750 miles driving at highway speeds small bumps on highway got a noticeable steering wheel shake 🧐 I let off the throttle it went away, I changed to the right lane driving at 55 mph the edges of the shoulder have grooves for drowsy drivers to get the noise that wakes them up. I deliberately drifted to the rumble strip at 55 mph. “BAM”💥💥 💥Full Blown Death wobble with a very aggressive steering wheel shake. I let off the throttle and recovered normal steering. Commented on a death wobble you tube video the You Tuber which describes the contributing factors mentions that “ALL” solid front axle trucks can develop death wobble. Even new bone stock. He responded to my inquiry in very polite detail, to start off by having my tires rebalanced. Ironically 3 weeks ago I took advantage of a free oil change at the dealer and they rotated my tires…No mention on the service ticket of any “RE-BALANCING” just rotation. In an additional inquiry with this you tuber I had asked are aftermarket parts front suspension better his exact response was sadly yes. My local Jeep dealer now has a large selection of Gladiators on the lot the salesman “DON’T” go along with the customer for a test drive. I’m planning on telling a salesman I’m considering trading up to either a Rubicon or Mojave going up to the highway and drifting into the rumble strip to see if a brand new Jeep will death wobble. The you tuber with death wobble page mentioned that’s an interesting research endeavor on my part but mentions that the Mojave doesn’t use aluminum front knuckles like the other models and has a heavier duty chassis his mention on those details were about him seeing factory ball joints wearing out as early as 20- 25,000 miles
@Jason-SamkoАй бұрын
@MrJEEPJT i do know all solid front axles vehicles can develop it. Ford super duties are also notorious for it.
@MrJEEPJTАй бұрын
@@Jason-Samko Thankyou for your information and input greatly appreciated !!! I suspect rear tires being moved to front of vehicle and dealer not checking balance maybe A big cause a few months back one of my rear tires had a screw in the tread a local tire shop put an internal rubber patch on inside off tire it was definitely not re-balanced… letting my relatively low mileage gladiator just drift into the shoulder and the rumble strips induced a very aggressive death wobble exactly like the videos showing severe death wobble on jeeps with very worn out front suspension parts didn’t inspire confidence but I easily recovered control and had brief thoughts of Trading in the gladiator for A Ram 1500 but I really like the jeep so I will start with the tires all 4 rebalanced… Thankyou very much for your Jeep expertise!!!
